Turkey Tacos!

Diner Tonight: Turkey Tacos




We have a beautiful Summers Day out there today! Sunny, in the low 80's, and no humidity. After Breakfast and my morning workout I got some things done in the house and it was outside for the better part of the day! Got the cart out, it's a 4 wheel mobility cart that I can go around the outside of house and yard. After a little yard cleaning I rode down to the community lake and around the neighborhood. So for dinner tonight it's Turkey Tacos, and a story behind this!





I had already planned on having Turkey Tacos and BAM, a Fedex truck pulls up with a delivery. Jennie -O must have read my mind, they sent me a 1 lb. package of Jennie O Taco Seasoned Ground Turkey and a 1 lb. package of Jennie - O Italian Seasoned Ground Turkey, which is great to make your own Spaghetti Meat Sauce with! I belong to the Jennie - O Switch Club, a club for bloggers, and from time to time Jennie -O sends me various Jennie O Turkey products, coupons, and recipes. So a big thank you to Jennie - O!




I wanted to keep it light, healthy, and delicious so it's Turkey Tacos. And as always when
making Turkey Tacos I always use Jennie -O Ground Turkey Breast but since Jennie - O sent me the Taco Seasoned Ground Turkey I'll be using it instead. ! Love all the Jennie -O Turkey Products, always fresh and low calorie and low carb. I started by frying the Ground Turkey till it was no longer pink, about 17 minutes, in Canola Oil and seasoning it with just adding some light Sea Salt and Cilantro Flakes. With the Turkey already Taco Seasoned there's no need for a lot of seasoning or Taco Seasoning. Love using the already seasoned Turkey!




Then for toppings I used; Sargento Reduced Fat 4 Cheese Mexican, Sliced Black Olives, Sliced
Green Olives, Old El Paso Taco Sauce, and Shredded Lettuce. For my Taco Shells I used the Old El Paso Stand N’ Stuff Taco Shells (Whole Grain Corn). Add the Jennie – O Turkey and you got you some mouth watering and delicious Tacos! Love these Taco Nights. I also heated up a can of Old El Paso Fat Free Refried Beans for a side. For dessert later a Healthy Choice Dark Fudge Swirl Greek Yogurt.






Lean Taco Seasoned Ground Turkey

Cooking Instructions:
STOVETOP METHOD:
* Spray skillet with nonstick cooking spray.
* Preheat skillet over medium-high heat.
* Add ground turkey to hot skillet.
* Stir to crumble, approximately 14 to 16 minutes.
* Always cook to well-done, 165°F. as measured by a meat thermometer.
