Bison Chopped Sirloin Steak w/ Sugar Snap Peas and Garlic Herb Potatoes

Dinner Tonight: Bison Chopped Sirloin Steak and Sauteed Mushrooms w/ Sugar Snap Peas and Garlic Herb Potatoes

Went out to get the Sunday Papers and it was another cold morning out there, 28 degrees. For
Breakfast I fried a couple of Jennie - O Turkey Breakfast Sausage Links, Simply Potatoes Shredded Hash Browns (topped with a sprinkle of Sagento Reduced Fat Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese), toasted 1 slice of Healthy Life Whole Grain Bread, and my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Good way to warm up a cold morning! Mom and Dad went to Church this morning, which is good because Dad rarely is able to get out. So while they were gone I was able to give the house a good cleaning, vacuumed, dusted, polished, and shined! Also did a load of laundry for Mom. Had everything done  by Noon. Then after Lunch settled in for an afternoon of NFL Football. For Dinner tonight I prepared a Bison Chopped Sirloin Steak and Sauteed Mushrooms w/ Sugar Snap Peas and Garlic Herb Potatoes.

I'm using the SayersBrook Bison Chopped Sirloin. I've had these a few times now and love them! They're big enough that I always have some leftover which I'll use for Breakfast in the morning or for Lunch.

I preheated the oven on 400 degrees. To prepare them I’ll need McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Peppercorn Medley, McCormick Crushed Rosemary, and McCormick Thyme Leaves (all seasoning to taste). I got the Cast Iron Skillet out to prepare it. I first sprayed it with a very light coat of Pam Cooking Spray and then added a tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Heated it on medium heat. When the pan was heated I added the Chopped Steak. I cooked each side 4 minutes. Then finished it in the oven, at 400 degrees for 5 minutes. It cooked up beautifully, perfect medium rare! Had a nice little char on the outside and moist and juicy inside. These have an excellent taste to them, another very good item from SayersBrook Ranch! I topped the Chopped Steak with some Sauteed Mushrooms and had a side of A-1 Sauce Thick/Hardy for dipping. Really enjoy these, if you're a Chopped Steak lover like myself you have to try these from SayersBrook. I also made a side of Sauteed Mushrooms.

Next I heated up some Mann's Stringless Sugar Snap Peas. They come fresh packed in a plastic bag. Just empty the bag into a small skillet with a 1/2 tablespoon of Light Olive Oil and heated 7 minutes on medium heat. Done, easy way to have some Beans! Only 35 calories and 4 net carbs per serving, 1 cup.

Then for another side dish I prepared - the Little Potato Company Oven Ready Garlic Hear Potatoes.
First time I had tried this product from the Little Potato Co. The other 2 I've tried were fantastic, as this one turned out! The others microwave but these are prepared by the oven. It comes in a Oven Ready Foil Container. Remove the cardboard sleeve, seasoning pack and plastic film. Add the seasoning pack contents and 2 tbsp of light olive oil to tray. Toss until well coated. Place uncovered tray on in the oven. Cook for 40 minutes until tender, stirring occasionally. Then you can serve them right from foil container they came in. Another delicious Potato Product from the Little Potato Co.! It's one Comfort Food Dinner Tonight! Really enjoyed this one. For dessert later a bowl of Dole Sliced Peaches.
