“Not So Sloppy” Buffalo Joes w/ Baked Steak Fries

Dinner Tonight: “Not so Sloppy” Buffalo Joes w/ Baked Steak Fries

Another sunny and beautiful day outside again. As I said sunny and a high in the low 60's! We have rain moving in for a couple of days but still highs in 50's. Hopefully we have seen the last of Old Man Winter, but I've seen it snow around here in April, one time the Red's Opening Day in April was cancelled because of snow. Went to Costco around 10:00, when they opened. Always best to get there as they open if you use and electric shopping cart to get around, so you can get one and one that is fully charged. I bought some cases of Canned Green Beans, Baked Beans, and Corn. With a 1/2 case of Spaghetti, LaRosa Pasta Sauce, and a case of Instant Potatoes. Purchased all of it for our Church which with other area Churches feed the homeless and needy. Love to help out all I can. I also bought a case of Green Beans for a local shelter here in West Chester and dropped them off. For myself I purchased some Nature Made Supplements and a large Family Pack of Pork Lon Bone-In Chops. Some beautiful and big Chops, can't wait to have one! For my dinner tonight it's “Not So Sloppy” Buffalo Joes w/ Baked Steak Fries.

It’s Sloppy Joe Night tonight for dinner! A delicious and a super easy meal to make. To make the Sloppy Joes I used a 1 lb. package of Wild Idea Buffalo Ground Round - 99% Lean, my favorite meat, 1 jar of Hormel Not So Sloppy Joe Sauce, and Kroger Wheat Buns.

Using a large skillet to brown the Buffalo in I seasoned it with Morton’s Salt Substitute, Ground Black Pepper, and Roasted Ground Cumin. After the Buffalo was browned and no longer pink I added the jar of Not So Sloppy Joe Sauce stirring and making sure the Sauce and Buffalo was well mixed. Simmer until it’s warm, and served. I love the Hormel Not So Sloppy Joe Sauce. It’s a good thick sauce well seasoned with Spices, Onions, Green Peppers among other ingredients (70 calories and 15 carbs per serving). I served them on the Kroger Wheat Bun. Another delicious dish using Wild Idea Buffalo. For a side I baked some Ore Ida Steak Fries, with a side of Hunt's Ketchup for the Fries. For dessert later a Jello Sugar Free Black Cherry Jello.

Hormel Not So Sloppy Joe Sauce

Richer and Thicker and Far From Ordinary

Not-So-Sloppy-Joe® sloppy joe sauce is as distinctive as its name. Not-So-Sloppy-Joe® sloppy joe sauce has a hint of barbecue flavor and is richer and thicker than other sloppy joe sauces.

Since its beginning in 1985, there’s been one very graphic way to show the thick and rich texture of Not-So-Sloppy-Joe® sloppy joe sauce: the “drip test.” When you hold up a sloppy joe made with Not-So-Sloppy-Joe® sloppy joe sauce, there are no drips. It’s that rich and thick.
