May 4-5, 2012 Dandelion May Fest & Great Dandelion Cookoff - Dover, Ohio
The 19th annual Dandelion Mayfest and Great Dandelion Cookoff is held at Breitenbach Wine Cellars in Dover. The festival celebrates dandelions. Many dandelion foods are offered including dandelion sausage, dandelion ice cream, dandelion gravy, dandelion bread and much more! Children can partake in events such as dandelion picking contest and dandelion scavenger hunt. They even make their own dandelion jelly! There will be a juried arts and crafts show with vendors incorporatingb dandelions into their work. Ongoing live entertainment and dandelion wine tasting and cellar tours will be available both days. The Great Dandelion Cookoff- May 5 at 2:00pm
The 19th Annual Great Dandelion Cookoff will be a major part of the festivities. Creative dandelion dishes provide tasty samplings while participants compete for cash awards.
