Grilled Cracked Pepper Dark Turkey Pastrami Sandwich w/ Baked Fingerling Potato Wedges

Dinner Tonight: Grilled Jennie – O Cracked Pepper Dark Turkey Pastrami Sandwich w/ Baked Fingerling Potato Wedges




Not a bad morning, when I went out to get the morning papers there was no wind and about 32 degrees. But about an hour or so later the wind picked up and the temperatures started dropping. Then by around 2:00 this afternoon we had wind gusts up over 50 mph with snow, at one point you couldn't see past the house next to you because of the blowing snow. By tomorrow morning a wind chill below 0. Winter is proving it's not near over yet. Helped out with some laundry and ran the vacuum, and that was about it for the day. Chair, remote, and College Basketball for the remainder of the afternoon! For dinner tonight I prepared a Grilled Cracked Pepper Dark Turkey Pastrami Sandwich w/ Baked Fingerling Potato Wedges.



I had made the Grilled Jennie – O Cracked Pepper Dark Turkey Pastrami last week and enjoyed it so much I wanted to prepare it again. To make my Sandwich I’ll need; Jennie – O Cracked Pepper Dark Turkey Pastrami, Klosterman Wheat Bread, Simple Life Muenster Cheese, and Litehouse Lite Thousand Island Dressing. I’ll be using my Flat Griddle Pan to prepare it. To prepare it; on one bread slice I layered the Cheese, Turkey Pastrami,and Dressing. Cover with remaining bread slice. Place Sandwich on the Griddle. Cook 4 to 6 minutes or until the bread was toasted and golden brown, turning once. Wow, Jennie – O has another winning product with this Jennie – O Cracked Pepper Dark Turkey Pastrami! One delicious and healthy Deli Meat to have on hand. The Muenster Cheese and Litehouse Lite Thousand Island Dressing worked perfect with the Pastrami.


For a side to go with the Sandwich I prepared some fresh-cut Fingerling Wedges. I sliced the Potatoes into wedges and seasoned them with a light coat of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Garlic Powder, Dried Thyme, and McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Black Peppercorn. Spread them out on a small Cookie Sheet and baked at 400 degrees until fork tender, about 20 minutes. Put a light sprinkle of fresh shredded Sargento Asiago Cheese over top and served. I wonder why Fingerling Potatoes are so hard to find? Jungle Jim's International Market is the only one to carry them around here, at least the only one that I have found. For dessert later a Healthy Choice Dark Chocolate Frozen Greek Yogurt.
