Kitchen Hint of the Day!
Cooking Fruit? To make sure it doesn't get mushy, always add sugar to the cooking syrup. The sugar will draw some of the fluid back into the cells to maintain equilibrium in the sugar concentation, and the fruit will retain a more appealing texture.
