After a beautiful weekend of perfect weather, the heat and humidity returned. Picked up a couple of items for my dinner tonight, did some laundry, and cleaned the fridge with a good scrubbing. For dinner tonight I prepared a Sweet Mustard and Roasted Red Pepper Turkey Burger w/ Lay's Kettle Chips.
I used, as usual, Jennie - O Extra Lean Ground Turkey Breast. Formed it into patties, freezing 2 of the Burgers, and seasoned them with McCormick Grinder Sea Salt, and Black Peppercorn. Pan fried them in Canola Oil about 8 minutes, 4 minutes per side. Nice char on the outside and moist on the inside. Served it on a Healthy Choice Wheat Hamburger Buns, which are only 80 calories and 13 net carbs. Topped it with a Sweet Hot Stone Ground Mustard, Delallo Roasted Red Peppers, Boston Bib Lettuce, and a slice of Boar's Head Muenster Cheese. One loaded and tasty Turkey Burger! For a side I had some Lay's Kettle Cooked Lattice Cut Aged Cheddar and Black Pepper Potato Chips, now that's a mouthful! A new Lay's product and a very good tasting Chip, 150 calories and 16 net carbs. For dessert later a Jello Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Mousse.
