Punxsutawney Phil, Wiarton Willie: Did the Groundhog See his Shadow 2011?

Large parts of the US and Canada have been hit with a whopping winter storm but that hasn’t stopped the famous groundhogs – Punxsutawney Phil and Wiarton Willie – from reporting on whether spring will come early.
So did the groundhog see his shadow this year?
First, Punxsutawney Phil reported from just outside of Pennsylvania. He did not see his shadow this year which means that spring is on its way early for those in the US!
Shortly after Phil made his call, Wiarton Willie reported from Canada. He did not see his shadow either, which means spring will also come early for those in Canada!
A little bit of hope for those of us caught in the crazy winter storm this week!
Each year the groundhogs peep out from their holes to give people all over the world indication of what we can expect for spring. If he sees his shadow, there’s 6 more weeks of winter, if he doesn’t see his shadow, spring is on its way early.
So, you can officially start shopping for your spring wardrobe ladies! Thanks to Phil and Willie, that is!
