Grilled Sirloin Steak w/ Mashed Potatoes & Brown Gravy, Kicked Up Chili Beans, and...

Dinner Tonight: Grilled Sirloin Steak w/ Mashed Potatoes & Brown Gravy, Kicked Up Chili Beans, and Harvest Grain Bread

I found some Sirloin Steaks hiding out in back of the freezer this morning and I knew I had found my dinner! I normally have Bison Sirloin but I'll go with the Beef this time. I seasoned it with Sea Salt and ground Black Pepper. I grilled it on medium high for about 4 minutes per side, medium rare. Grill marks, pink in the center, and juicy one tasty steak!

I had 2 sides Mashed Potatoes & Gravy and Kicked Up Chili Beans. The Potatoes were Idahoan Homestyle Mashed Potatoes that I topped with some of the Heinz Beef Gravy. For the Beans I used Joan of Arc Spicy Chili Beans and added Jack Daniel’s BBQ Sauce, Crumbled Turkey Bacon Bits, Splenda Brown Sugar, and a few dashes of Frank’s Red Hot Sauce. I left the recipe at the end of the post. I also had a slice of Meijer Bakery Harvest Grain Bread. For dessert later a Skinny Cow Fudge Pop.

Pulled Pork Barbecue Sandwich w/ Kicked Up Chili Beans and Smashed Potatoes

Today's Menu: Pulled Pork Barbecue Sandwich w/ Kicked Up Chili Beans and Smashed Potatoes

Nothing like a stick to your ribs Pork BBQ with all the sides to warm up a cold windy day! I used Montgomery Inn Hardwood Smoked Pulled Pork w/ Barbecue Sauce. Those of you not familiar with Montgomery Inn it's one of the original Barbecue and Ribs Restaurant in the Cincinnati area. It has some of the finest food, love them Ribs, anywhere! They also sell their Ribs and Pulled Pork and Chicken at all Kroger's. So when I'm in the mood for the Pulled Pork I almost always use the Montgomery Inn brand. Anyway you just heat it in a medium sauce pan until it's warmed and you have BBQ. It's the perfect combination of the Pork and the mouth watering Montgomery Inn Sauce that makes this so delicious! Plus it's only 110 calories and 8 carbs per serving. I served it on a Healthy Life Whole Grain Bun.

I had two sides, Kicked Up Chili Beans and Smashed Potatoes. To make the Smashed Potatoes I used Green Giant Klondike Petite Gourmet Potatoes. I cut each Potato in half. Then after putting them in a bowl I added a tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and then McCormick Grinder Dill, Sea Salt, Black Peppercorn, and Parsley and mixed until all were coated. I then boiled them for 30 minutes. Then put them in a serving bowl and with a fork smashed them up. Added I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter and 2 slices of crumbled Turkey Bacon  and continued to smash and mix. Also had a Peach Tea Diet Snapple. For dessert later a Jello Sugar Free Chocolate Pudding topped with Cool Whip Free.

Crock Pot Baby Back Ribs w/ Kicked Up Chili Beans, Au Gratin Potatoes, and...

Dinner Tonight:: Crock Pot BBQ Baby Back Ribs w/ Kicked Up Chili Beans, Au Gratin Potatoes, and Whole Grain Bread

It's a cold and windy winter's day around here today but it's warm and cozy inside with the aroma of ribs in the air! I had purchased some Pork Loin Back Ribs at Kroger earlier this week and decided to have them today. I seasoned the Ribs with JB’s Fat Boy Premium Rub and then brushed a half a bottle of JB’s Fat Boy Haugwaush Bar B Cue Sauce. I cooked the ribs for 8 hours on low in the crock pot. After 5 hours I applied the other half of Haugwaush to the Ribs.  The ribs came out perfect! Tender fall off the bone delicious. No knife needed as the bones could be removed by just pulling on them. This is my favorite way to fix ribs.

I used Idaohan Potatoes Au Gratin which are very easy to fix and are just as good as homemade but with less calories and carbs. You can prepare them on the stove or by baking which is what I did. I also left the product description for the Potatoes below. We also had Healthy Life Whole Grain Bread. For dessert later a Jello Sugar Free Chocolate Pudding topped with Cool Whip Free.

Had some more of the Crock Pot BBQ Baby Back Ribs! I cooked the ribs for 8 hours on low in the crock pot. After 5 hours I applied the other half of Haugwaush to the Ribs.  About midway through the aroma of those ribs were all through the house, just like last time! The ribs came out perfect! Tender fall off the bone delicious. No knife needed as the bones could be removed by just pulling on them. i think I've found my favorite way to fix ribs!

For the Beans I used Joan of Arc Spicy Chili Beans and added Jack Daniel’s BBQ Sauce, Crumbled Turkey Bacon Bits, Splenda Brown Sugar, and a few dashes of Frank’s Red Hot Sauce. Grilled BBQ Chicken Breast w/ Chili Beans and Boiled Sliced New Potatoes

Dinner Tonight: Grilled BBQ Chicken Breast w/ Chili Beans and Boiled Sliced New Potatoes

A little one day break in the weather so I fired the grill up, still hot but less humid today. I purchased three beautiful Chicken Breasts earlier this morning and I knew I had to get the grill going! While at Kroger I got a bottle of JB's Fat Boy Sticky Stuff Poultry BBQ Sauce. You have to try JB'S Fat Boy BBQ Sauces and Rub these are just too good!
Anyway I lightly Salt and Peppered the breasts and started grilling them. I turned them 3 times and basted them each time I flipped them over. You can't beat the taste of any meat when you grill it. Grill marks and a little bit of a char, can't beat it! With the Chicken I had sides of some Kicked Up Chili Beans and Boiled Sliced New Potatoes. For the Beans I used Joan of Arc Spicy Chili Beans and added Jack Daniel’s BBQ Sauce, Crumbled Turkey Bacon Bits, and a few dashes of Frank’s Red Hot Sauce. The Potatoes were leftover from yesterday so I just warmed them up and they were ready. For dessert/snack later tonight I'm going to have Chips in Rice Chips with some Kroger Brand Organic Black Bean and Corn Salsa.

Ham and Swiss Panini w/ Kicked - Up Chili Beans

Dinner Tonight: Grilled Ham and Swiss Panini Sandwich w/ Kicked - Up Chili Beans

Putting that Panini Grill to use! Had a Panini Grilled Ham and Swiss Sandwich. I used Healthy Life Whole Grain Sliced Bread, Oscar Mayer Carver Board Ham, 2% Swiss Cheese, and some Kraft Mayo w/ Olive Oil for the sandwich. The Beans were Joan of Arc Spicy Chili Beans and to those added Jack Daniels Smoked BBQ Sauce, crumbled Turkey Bacon, and a few splashes of frank's Red Hot to liven it all up a bit! If you have read my posts for a while you may have noticed I have almost switched over completly from Aunt Millie's Whole Grain products to Healthy Life Whole Grain products. The reason being Healthy Life is a little lower in calories and carbs  and also somewhat lower in price, plus the taste and freshness on all their products are very good.
