Grilled Cheese and Baked Fries

Dinner Tonight: Grilled Cheese and Baked Fries

I just had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea for Breakfast this morning. I had to have Mom at the
Eye Doctor at 9:00. They had to check Mom's right eye that had the cataract removed, everything looked great! She has the left one done next week. 82 degrees, humid, and thunderstorms outside today. Cleaned the house today, ran the vacuum and dusted. I bought a couple of Sweet Pepper plants and both are loaded with small Peppers coming in. Also have Sweet Basil, Chives, and Rosemary growing. For Dinner Tonight I'm having a Grilled Cheese and Baked Fries.

Not feeling real good this afternoon. I had a Dinner in mind but I'm keeping it simple tonight, I
prepared a Grilled Cheese and Baked Fries. To make my Grilled Cheese I’ll be using; Kraft Sliced Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Blue Bonnet Light Butter, and Aunt Millie's Light Whole Grain Bread. I started by buttering the outside half of a slice of bread. Layered 2 slices of the Sharp Cheddar on top. Added my top half of the sliced bread, buttering the outside of the slice. I then got out a skillet, heated it up on medium heat and lightly coated it with a 1/2 pat of Butter. When the Butter was melted I added my sandwich. Grilled it on both sides until it was golden brown and the Cheese melted. Oh, nothing like a good and toasty Grilled Cheese sometimes!

To go with the Grilled Cheese I baked up some Alexia Organic Yukon Select Fries. Seasoned them
with Morton’s Lite salt and Ground Black Pepper. Baked them at 425 degrees for 16 minutes. They bake up beautifully and seasoned just right.! Plus they are only 120 calories and 15 net carbs. Served with a side of my favorite Ketchup, Hunt’s Ketchup. For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn with a Coke Zero to drink.

Open-Faced Roast Beef Sandwich w/ Mashed Potatoes, Mushroom Gravy, and Green Beans

Dinner Tonight: Open-Faced Roast Beef Sandwich w/ Mashed Potatoes, Mushroom Gravy, and Green Beans

This morning for Breakfast I had a Poached egg, 2 Jimmy Dean Turkey Sausage Links, toasted
Healthy Life Whole Grain English Muffin, and a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. A bit warmer out today and less windy, high of 57 degrees. Did a few things around the house then after Lunch went outside and got a few things out of storage from the shed. Pulled out some of the outdoor chairs and table and cleaned them up and also repaired a couple of the chairs. Back inside finished some laundry up for Mom. For Dinner tonight I prepared a  Open-Faced Roast Beef Sandwich w/ Mashed Potatoes, Mushroom Gravy, and Green Beans.

It's very seldom that I have Beef but when I was at Walmart the other day this just looked good and I
had not had this in quite some time, a package of Hormel Slow Simmered Beef Roast Au Jus. And made into an Open Face Roast Beef sounded real good! It comes packaged in a sealed microwave container and easy to prepare. Start by removing it from the outer sleeve and place the tray in microwave, do not pierce or vent film.  Heat on high for 4 minutes or until hot. the self-venting film expands as it heats, forming a bubble to lock in flavor and juiciness.  Let it stand for 2 minutes. Peel back and serve. Can't get much easier and it's really delicious. Plenty of Beef with excellent flavor. All I added was a bit Sea Salt to it. I lightly toasted a slice of Healthy Life Whole Grain Bread and served the Beef on top of the Toast. I also heated up a jar of Heinz Mushroom Gravy that I topped it with.

For a side I prepared my favorite Mashed Potatoes, Bob Evan's Mashed Potatoes. Easy to fix and delicious. To prepare it just heat it up in the microwave for 6 minutes and it’s ready. Topped them with some of the Mushroom Gravy.

I also heated up a can of Del Monte Cut Green Beans. I could have Beans every meal, love them! For Dessert later tonight I’ll be having a Weight Watcher's Cookies and Cream Ice Cream Bar.

HORMEL® Slow Simmered Beef Roast Au Jus
Enjoy a fully cooked dinner any night of the week with our Slow Simmered Beef Roast. Best of all—it’s fast and easy so you can spend more time enjoying it with your family.

Simple Ideas
For a quick and easy meal, try it in a stir-fry, atop tacos or in sandwiches!

Microwave directions
1. Remove outer sleeve and place vacuum-sealed tray in microwave. Do not pierce or vent film.
2. Heat on high for 4 minutes or until hot. Self-venting film expands as it heats, forming a bubble to lock in flavor and juiciness.
3. Let stand for 2 minutes. Peel back film carefully, as contents will be hot.

Grilled Cheese and Baked Fries

Today’s Menu: Grilled Cheese and Baked Fries

For Breakfast this morning I toasted a Healthy Life Whole Grain English Muffin and topped it with
some Boar's Head Sweet Sliced Ham and a 1/2 slice of Sargento Reduced Fat Swiss Cheese, for a Breakfast Sandwich. Also had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. It's another Spring like Winters day here, 63 degrees and partly cloudy. From what they are saying the upcoming week is going to be in the 60's! So nice out that the flowers are already coming up around the neighborhood. After Lunch I headed over to spend some time with Dad at the rehab care center. He continues getting stronger and walking a lot better! Back home finished up some housework and took it easy the rest of the day. For Dinner tonight I prepared a Grilled Cheese and Baked Fries.

A Grilled Cheese and Baked Fries just sounded good. To make my Grilled Cheese I’ll be using; Kraft Sliced Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Blue Bonnet Light Butter, and Healthy Life Whole Grain Bread.

I started by buttering the outside half of a slice of bread. Layered 2 slices of the Sharp Cheddar on

When the Butter was melted I added my sandwich. Grilled it on both sides until it was golden brown and the Cheese melted. Oh, nothing like a good and toasty Grilled Cheese sometimes!

Then for a side I baked some Alexia Organic Yukon Select Fries. First time I’ve had these in a long
time. Found the at Meijer and thought I would get a bag. Seasoned them with McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Black Peppercorn Medley. Baked them at 425 degrees for 18 minutes. They bake up beautifully and seasoned just right! Plus they are only 120 calories and 15 net carbs. I love my Potatoes! Grilled Cheese and Baked Fries for a Sunday Dinner, not too bad! For dessert later a Weight Watcher's Cookies and Cream Ice Cream Bar.

Grilled Ham and Cheese w/ Baked Crinkle Fries

Dinner Tonight: Grilled Ham and Cheese w/ Baked Crinkle Fries

To start this sunny Thursday Morning off I Scrambled 2 Eggs, toasted a slice of Healthy Life Whole
Grain Bread (lightly buttered), and had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. After Breakfast I went to Walmart to pick up some printing ink and copy paper. What a beautiful Spring Day out there..I mean Fall Day! Sunny and 72 degrees out, beautiful! I got a few things done around the house and then got the cart out of the shed and rode around the neighborhood and down by the lake. Tomorrow is supposed to be around 75 degrees. But by Saturday morning a high in the 50's and dropping throughout the day and possible snow flurries for Saturday night into Sunday. You don't want to say that four letter word too loud in Ohio, people panic just saying the word! It's so funny to watch people panic just over the mention of that word, Stores will all be sold out of everything! Anyway for my Dinner tonight its a Grilled Ham and Cheese w/ Baked Crinkle Fries.

From a Izzy's Light Corned Beef yesterday to ham and Cheese tonight, sticking with the Sandwich
for Dinner. I'm using Boar’s Head Deluxe Ham, Kraft Sliced Sharp Cheddar Cheese, and Healthy Life Whole Grain Bread. I love all the Boar’s Head Meats and Cheese and this Deluxe Ham has become my favorite Ham. Always fresh and lower in calories and sodium. To make the sandwich I buttered one side of both slices of bread with I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter and then on the unbuttered sides layered the Ham and then the Cheese. I then grilled the sandwich in a preheated pan that I had sprayed with Pam Cooking Spray. Grilling both sides until golden brown. I love a Grilled Cheese Sandwich, but the Boar’s Head Ham kicks it up another notch!

For a side I baked some Ore Ida Crinkle Fries, served with a side of Hunt’s Ketchup. Also had a Diet Peach Snapple to drink. For dessert later a Jello Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Pudding topped with Cool Whip Free.

Grilled Ham and Cheese w/ Baked Crinkle Fries

Dinner Tonight: Grilled Ham and Cheese w/ Baked Crinkle Fries

I just had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea for Breakfast. After Breakfast I started laundry for Mom, a couple of loads. Then finished up house cleaning and it was clean the stove day. Everything done inside and moved on to the outside. As usual had to get the leaf blower out and clean the deck and driveway. Got the clippers out and trimmed the vines alongside the driveway. All done for the day and kicked back and caught up on some programs that I recorded. For Dinner tonight its a Grilled Ham and Cheese w/ Baked Crinkle Fries.

I used Boar’s Head Deluxe Ham, Kraft Sliced Sharp Cheddar Cheese, and Healthy Life Whole Grain Bread. I had purchased the Boar’s Head Deluxe Ham at Kroger. I love all the Boar’s Head Meats and Cheese and this Deluxe Ham has become my favorite Ham. Always fresh and lower in calories and sodium. Grilled Ham and Cheese w/ Baked Crinkle Fries

Dinner Tonight: Grilled Ham and Cheese w/ Baked Crinkle Fries

For Breakfast this morning I fried up some slices Glier's Turkey Goetta and toasted a couple of slices of Healthy Life Whole Grain Bread that I topped with some Smucker's Sugar Free Blackberry Jam.
Along with the morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. After Breakfast I headed up to our local Kroger and picked up a few items for Mom and myself. Then on the way back I took the car through the car wash and back home. The heat and humidity has returned, blah! It does beat zero and snow though!! Did some cleaning outside. Back inside I had to repair a wheel on the vacuum again. The Hoover Cordless Vacuum is one of the best buys I've made, It makes sweeping so much easier without dealing with cord. Wanted to keep it simple and light for Dinner, tonight its a Grilled Ham and Cheese w/ Baked Crinkle Fries.

I used Boar’s Head Deluxe Ham, Kraft Sliced Sharp Cheddar Cheese, and Healthy Life Whole Grain
Bread. I had purchased the Boar’s Head Deluxe Ham at Kroger, on sale the other day. I love all the Boar’s Head Meats and Cheese. Always fresh and lower in calories and sodium. Buffalo Burger Pattie Melt w/ Baked Crinkle Fries

Dinner Tonight: Buffalo Burger Pattie Melt w/ Baked Crinkle Fries

Restless night, last night. Just couldn't seem to get comfortable. For Breakfast I scrambled some Egg
Beater's Egg Whites, topped with a slice of Sargento Ultra Thin Swiss Cheese, and served it on top of a Healthy Life Whole Grain English Muffin. All today was cleaning and organizing. Dad is coming home from rehab, he's been gone for over 2 months. Besides cleaning I replaced a filter in his oxygen machine and replaced the tubing on it. Had everything done by late afternoon and kicked back for a while before preparing Dinner. Tonight I'm having a Buffalo Burger Pattie Melt w/ Baked Crinkle Fries.

When I want a Buffalo Burger I use my favorite Buffalo, the Wild Idea Buffalo 1/3-Lb Burgers. Just love these Buffalo Burgers; meaty, juicy and just flat out delicious! Preheated up a small skillet that I
sprayed with Pam Cooking Spray, seasoned my Burger with McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Black Peppercorn. I then pan fried it about 3 1/2 minutes per side, and done. After I flipped the Burger I added a slice of Kraft Sharp Cheddar Cheese on top. As my Burger was getting done I toasted 2 slices of Healthy Life Whole Grain Bread and put just a dab of I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter on both slices. I served my Buffalo Burger on the Toasted Wheat Bread and topped it with French’s Spicy Brown Mustard. One delicious Sandwich! Anytime when I can use the Wild Idea Buffalo I use it, it always turns out delicious!

I also baked some Ore Ida Crinkle Fries, served these with a side of Hunt’s Ketchup for dipping. For dessert later a Healthy Choice Dark Fudge Swirl Frozen Greek Yogurt.

Grilled Cheese and Baked Fries

Dinner Tonight: Grilled Cheese and Baked Fries

For Breakfast this morning I prepared some Buffalo Sausage, a Scrambled Egg, 2 slices of toasted Healthy Life Whole Grain Bread, and a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. While rummaging through
the freezer I came across a package of Wild Idea Buffalo Ground Breakfast Sausage. Formed it into patties and fried it. I loved them, excellent seasoning! Went on line to buy some more and they no longer make it. They have it in Buffalo Sausage Links now. Which I'll have to try, love Wild Idea Buffalo. Outside we have another hot and humid day going on. In the 90's and high humidity. So I spent my day inside again because of my allergies, another day of high Pollen and mold. Finished up some housework and took it easy today. For Dinner tonight I prepared a Grilled Cheese and Baked Fries.

It was Ham and Cheese Slider and Soup yesterday and tonight it's more comfort food, Grilled Cheese and Baked Fries. When it's hot and humid outside I like to eat light, nothing too heavy. To make my Grilled Cheese I'll be using; Kraft Sliced Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Blue Bonnet Light Butter, and Healthy Life Whole Grain Bread.

I started by buttering the outside half of a slice of bread. Layered 2 slices of the Sharp Cheddar on
top. Added my top half of the sliced bread, buttering the outside of the slice. I then got out a skillet, heated it up on medium heat and lightly coated it with a 1/2 pat of Butter. Crispy Cheddar Bacon Chicken w/ Cheesy Rotini Pasta

Dinner Tonight: Crispy Cheddar Bacon Chicken w/ Cheesy Rotini Pasta

Wow, some major thunderstorms going on since about 10:00 last night. It put on quite a light show all night last night. Then more storms on and off all day. Started off the morning making a Turkey Sausage Pattie out of some Jennie - O Turkey Ground Breakfast Sausage. Served it on a Healthy Life Whole Grain English Muffin. Not much going on with all the rain throughout the day. For dinner tonight Chicken Breasts and a box of Chicken Helper. I prepared Crispy Cheddar Bacon Chicken w/ Cheesy Rotini Pasta.

I really enjoy using the Hamburger Helpers/Chicken Helpers, easy to prepare, not too bad on calories and carbs, and makes a delicious dinner! I’ve tried a few of the Helpers now but this is my favorite by far. The Rotini and Cheese Sauce is excellent and the Seasoned Crumb Coating with Natural Bacon Flavor for the Chicken is one of the better Crumb Coatings I’ve had for Chicken. To prepare it first go ahead and make the Pasta, by the box directions. Then prepare your Chicken and you have one fine meal! The Chicken Helper box contains Rotini Pasta with Naturally Flavored Cheesy Sauce Mix & Seasoned Crumb Coating with Natural Bacon Flavor. I added the Chicken, Water, 2% Milk, Canola Oil, Sea Salt and Pepper. It all comes together for one easily made and delicious dinner. I also had a slice of Klosterman Wheat Bread. For dessert later a Jello Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Mousse.

Grilled Cheese and Baked Fries

Dinner Tonight: Grilled Cheese and Baked Fries

Beautiful day out, sunny and a high of 80 degrees! It's been a long night and day for me though. About 4:00 this morning I started getting those Phantom Pains, and they were severe. When they're this intense I can't sleep or relax, no fun! Since I was already up early I went to Walmart ans picked up a few items and stopped by the bank. The pain is aggravating and intense, it wasn't a good day. For dinner tonight it's a Grilled Cheese and Baked Fries.

A light comfort food sounded good after the night and day I had been having, real easy to prepare too! I used a couple of slices of Borden Single Sensations Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese, 70 calories and 2 carbs per slice. I normally use Sargento Ultra Thin Sharp Cheddar but I wanted a little bit thicker Cheese for the Grilled Cheese. Borden is an excellent tasting Cheese. Then I used Healthy Life Whole Grain Bread, 70 calories and 11 net carbs for 2 slices. Then to prepare it I got out the Flat Griddle Pan, heated it up on medium heat and coated it with a pat of I Can't Believe It's Not Butter. When the Butter was melted I added my sandwich. Grilled it on both sides until it was golden brown and the Cheese melted. Nothing like a good and toasty Grilled Cheese!

Then for a side for my Grilled Cheese I baked some Ore Ida Simply Cracked Black Pepper and Sea Salt Country Style Fries, served these with a side of Hunt’s Ketchup for dipping. For dessert later a Healthy Choice Vanilla Bean Frozen Greek Yogurt.

When I went out to get the morning papers it was 38 degrees! Our first morning in the 30's in quite some time, and you no what it felt good! I had some Simply Potatoes Garlic and Herb Hashbrowns, Jennie - O Lean Ground Turkey Breakfast Sausage (made into patties), 2 slices of Healthy Life Whole Grain Bread (toasted and spread with I Can't Believe It's Not Butter), a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea, and the morning papers. I used Boar's Head Pastrami and Boar's Head Smoked Turkey for my sandwich along with a slice of Sargento Swiss Cheese. First time I tried the Boar's Head Pastrami or Smoked Turkey, very good as all Boar's Head Meat. I served it all on a Healthy Life Whole Grain Bun. I had a side of Ruffle's Light Potato Chips. For dessert later a Jello Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Pudding topped with Cool Whip Free.

Baked Tuna Casserole w/ Whole Grain Bread

Dinner Tonight: Baked Tuna Casserole w/ Whole Grain Bread

I hope everyone else is having a better stretch of weather than what we are having. I'm glad the warm weather is here but we always seem to get the humidity with it, and that's not good. Did anyone watch the guy tightrope across the Grand Canyon last night? Nerves of steel! For dinner I baked a Tuna Casserole and had some sliced Whole Grain Bread with it. Nice light dinner tonight.

I used a box of Walmart Brand Great Value Cheesy Tuna Skillet Meal as my base for the Casserole. It came with Pasta and a Cheesy Sauce Mix. I added a can of Chicken of the Sea Light Chunk Tuna in Water (10 oz.), 1 1/2 cups Water, 2 cups 2% Milk, 3 tbsp. Blue Bonnet Light Stick Butter, a couple of shakes of Hungarian Paprika, and Progresso Italian Style Bread Crumbs. I mixed all those ingredients up in a 2 qt. baking dish, except the Bread Crumbs which I added to the top of the mix. I then covered it with aluminum foil and baked it at 425 degrees for about 37 minutes. It really came out very good! Nice and creamy, hearty dish. I also had a couple of slices of Healthy Life Whole Grain Bread topped with I Can't Believe It's Not Butter. For dessert later a Healthy Choice Chocolate Swirl Frozen Yogurt.
