Kitchen Hints of the Day!

Hint #1 - When using Almonds in recipes, and you want it to have a richer Almond flavor just add a 1/4 teaspoon of pure almond extract.


Hint #2 - When using Almonds be sure not to use the almond skin in the dishes or they may impart a bitter taste.


* Almonds can be blanched by covering them with boiling water, removing them from the heat and covering them for about 3-4 minutes. After removing them from the water, the skins should easily slip off by squeezing them between your fingers.
