Grilled Steak Hoagies on Whole Grain Sub Buns w/ Baked Ore Ida Grillers Potatoes

Dinner Tonight: Grilled Steak Hoagies on Whole Grain Sub Buns w/ Baked Ore Ida Grillers Potatoes

Calmer day today, no bad news at least! It's Friday and usually Mom and Dad go out to eat at Richard's Hoagies. Well tonight I'm making their Hoagies! For dinner I prepared  Grilled Steak Hoagies on Whole Grain Sub Buns w/ Baked Ore Ida Grillers Potatoes.
Pizza and have either Pizza or Steak

I used J.T.M. Beef Steak Hoagies. They come pre-cooked and frozen so all you have to do is warm them back up. You bake them pan fry them or grill them, I grilled them. It took about 2 - 3 minutes per side and they were ready. J.T.M. is one of the better tasting prepared Hoagies and they have a whole line of Hoagies, Hamburgers, and such. I served them on Aunt Millie's Deli Style Whole Grain Mini Sub Buns. For toppings I sliced up a couple of Onions and sauteed them, Sauteed Baby Bella Mushrooms, Ragu Original Pizza Sauce, sliced Pickles, and Kraft 2% Shredded Mozzarella Cheese. They had all the toppings on theirs but for myself just Mushrooms and the Ragu Sauce. For a side to go with our Hoagies I baked some Ore Ida Grillers Seasoned Thick Cut Potatoes. A real good product from Ore Ida, nice and thick cut of Potatoes that’s seasoned just right. For dessert/snack later a 100 Calorie Mini Bag of Jolly Time Pop Corn.

JTM Steak Hoagie

In Greater Cincinnati, steak hoagie fans have preferred the same, old-fashioned, juicy steak hoagie patty they’ve come to love and enjoy at block parties, festivals and pizza shops. In southern Ohio, JTM is the definitive brand of this popular sandwich phenomenon.

Fried Panko Coated Cod Sandwich w/ Baked Seasoned Potato Grillers

Dinner Tonight: Fried Panko Coated Sandwich w/ Baked Seasoned Potato Grillers

Another cold day around here again but it's predicted to be a little warmer over the weekend, but rain. Well for dinner I made another sandwich with sides for dinner,Fried Panko Coated Sandwich w/ Baked Seasoned Potato Grillers.

I had an Orange Roughy fillet left in the freezer so I laid it out overnight in the fridge to thaw. To prepare it I rinsed the fillet off and patted it dry then rolled it in Flour that I had seasoned with Garlic Powder, Lemon Pepper, and Onion Powder. I then dipped it into Egg Beater’s, shaking off the excess. Then rolling the fillet in a Panko Bread Crumbs that I seasoned with Sea Salt and Paprika. I rolled the fillets until they were covered on both sides. I then lightly fried them about 4 minutes per side in Canola Oil. It came out golden brown and delicious! I served it on a Aunt Millie's Light Whole Grain Bun along with a slice of Bordon’s Smoked Cheddar Cheese and also just a touch of Lemon Juice to top the fillet off. The full recipe is at the end of the post, recipe makes 4 sandwiches.

For a side to go with my Fish I baked up some Ore Ida Grillers Seasoned Thick Cut Potatoes. A real good product from Ore Ida, nice and thick cut that's seasoned just right. For dessert later a Healthy Choice Greek Frozen Yogurt Vanilla/Chocolate Swirl.

Panko Crusted Orange Roughy Fish sandwich w/ Baked Seasoned Potato Grillers

Dinner Tonight: Panko Crusted Orange Roughy Fish sandwich w/ Baked Seasoned Potato Grillers

Great news on the health front here at home, after several weeks in a rehab center my Dad is coming home tomorrow! The last week or so he's really progressed so he'll be home by this time tomorrow.

For dinner tonight I prepared myself a Panko Crusted Orange Roughy Fish sandwich w/ Baked Ore Ida Seasoned Potato Grillers. I had an Orange Roughy fillet in the freezer so I laid it out to thaw early this morning. So after it thawed I rinsed the fillet and rolled it in Flour then dipping them into Egg Beater’s, shaking off the excess. Then rolling them in a Panko Bread Crumbs, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika mix until covered on both sides of the fillets. I then lightly fried them about 4 minutes per side in Extra Virgin Olive Oil. It came out golden brown and delicious! I served it on a Healthy Life Whole Grain Bread. For a side I had baked some Ore Ida Grillers Seasoned Thick Cut Potatoes. For dessert/snack later a 100 Calorie Mini Bag of Jolly Time Pop Corn.

Black and Blue Bison Burger with Sauteed Mushrooms w/ Ore Ida Griller Seasioned Potatoes

Today's Menu: Black and Blue Bison Burger with Sauteed Mushrooms w/ Ore Ida Griller Seasioned Potatoes

It was a beautiful day in the neighborhood today! A picture perfect day, sunny, about 82 degrees with a slight cool breeze. For dinner I prepared a Black & Blue Bison Burger topped with Sauteed Mushrooms and served on a Healthy Life Whole Grain Bun. I used Great Range Ground Bison Sirloin that I seasoned with Cajun's Choice Blackened Seasoning. While making  the pattie I made a hole in the center about halfway through the pattie. I then filled it with Murray's Maytag Crumbled Blue Cheese and topped it off with the Ground Bison. So as the Burger was frying the Blue Cheese was melting on the inside and Blackened on the outside. Served it on a Healthy Life Whole Grain Bun and topped off with Sauteed Mushrooms, another one that's too good. The Burger tasted fantastic! It had that Blackened taste along with the pure taste of the Bison and the sharp taste of the Blue Cheese. For a side I had Ore Ida Griller Seasoned Potatoes. For dessert later a Pillsbury Reduced Fat Cinnamon Roll, not too bad at 130 calories and 24 carbs per serving.

Pulled Pork BBQ Sandwich w/ Cheese Sticks and Potato Grillers

Today's Menu: Pulled Pork BBQ Sandwich w/ Cheese Sticks and Potato Grillers

Everyone was busy most of the day with various errands, and snacked along the way. So come dinner nobody was really too hungry so I prepared a light dinner tonight, Montgomery Inn Pulled Pork Sandwich, Mozzarella Stix, and Ore Ida Griller Seasoned Potatoes. I used Montgomery Inn Hardwood Smoked Pulled Pork w/ Barbecue Sauce. Those of you not familiar with Montgomery Inn it’s one of the original Barbecue and Ribs Restaurant in the Cincinnati area. It has some of the finest food, love them Ribs, anywhere! They also sell their Ribs and Pulled Pork and Chicken at all Kroger’s. So when I’m in the mood for the Pulled Pork I almost always use the Montgomery Inn brand. Anyway you just heat it in a medium sauce pan until it’s warmed and you have BBQ. It’s the perfect combination of the Pork and the mouth watering Montgomery Inn Sauce that makes this so delicious! Plus it’s only 110 calories and 8 carbs per serving. I served it on a Healthy Life Whole Grain Bun.

Along with the Pulled Pork Sandwich I prepared Alexia Mozzarella Stix Italian Herbs & Olive Oil and Ore Ida Seasoned Griller Potatoes. It had been quite a while since I had Cheese Sticks and came across the Alexia Mozzarella Stix and they looked good plus they were only 120 calories and 10 carbs per serving (2 sticks). The Ore Ida Grillers are some of Ore Ida's best potatoes! They are a nice thick cut of potatoe and bake or grill up perfectly. For dessert later a bowl of Breyer's carb Smart Vanilla Ice Cream topped with Smucker's Sugar Free Chocolate Fudge Topping.

We slow - smoke our choice cuts of pork for hours over hardwood coals; blend the lean, juicy meat with our world - famous Montgomery Inn Barbecue Sauce to give it that special flavor. Enjoy!

"Not so Sloppy" Bison Joes w/ Ore ida Griller Potatoes

Dinner Tonight: "Not So Sloppy" Bison Joes w/ Ore Ida Griller Potatoes

It's Sloppy Joe Night tonight for dinner! It's delicious and a super easy meal to make. To make the Sloppy Joes I used a 1 lb. package of Ground Bison Sirloin, my favorite meat, 1 jar of Hormel Not So Sloppy Joe Sauce, and Healthy Life Whole Grain Buns.Using a large skillet to brown the Bison in I seasoned it with Morton's Salt Substitute, Ground Black Pepper, and Roasted Ground Cumin. After the Bison was browned and no longer pink I added the jar of Not So Sloppy Joe Sauce stirring and making sure the Sauce and Bison was well mixed. Simmer until it's warm, and serve. I switched to using Not So Sloppy Joe Sauce sometime back. It's a good thick sauce well seasoned with Spices, Onions, Green Peppers amoung other ingredients (70 calories and 15 carbs). I served them on Healthy Life Whole Grain Buns with a side of Ore Ida Steakhouse Seasoned Griller Potatoes. For dessert a Jello Sugarless Double Chocolate Pudding topped with Cool Whip free.

Hormel Not So Sloppy Joe Sauce

Richer and Thicker and Far From Ordinary

Not-So-Sloppy-Joe® sloppy joe sauce is as distinctive as its name. Not-So-Sloppy-Joe® sloppy joe sauce has a hint of barbecue flavor and is richer and thicker than other sloppy joe sauces.

Since its beginning in 1985, there’s been one very graphic way to show the thick and rich texture of Not-So-Sloppy-Joe® sloppy joe sauce: the “drip test.” When you hold up a sloppy joe made with Not-So-Sloppy-Joe® sloppy joe sauce, there are no drips. It’s that rich and thick.

Loaded Bison Burger w/ Smoked Cheddar, Mushrooms, and Turkey Bacon

Dinner Tonight: Loaded Bison Burger w/ Smoked Cheddar, Mushrooms, and Turkey Bacon

Had one tasty burger for dinner tonight! I had a Ground Bison Sirloin that I seasoned with McCormick Steakhouse Seasoning. I fried it in Extra Virgin Olive Oil about 4 minutes per side. Served on a Healthy Life Whole Grain Bun and topped with a slice of Bordon's Smoked Cheddar, Sauteed Portobella Mushrooms, and a slice of Turkey Bacon. Now that's loaded! I've switched over to Bison from Beef for a few years now. I just love the taste of Bison and how easy it is to prepare, and also the healthier benifits it has over Beef. I still have Beef from time to time but it's mainly Bison.

For a side I had Ore Ida Steakhouse Seasoned Griller Potatoes. Another one I've recently staerted using. Nice thick cut potatoes and well seasoned. Dessert later a bowl of Breyer's Carb Smart Vanilla Ice Cream topped with some of those delicious South Carolina Peaches!
