Thumb print the burgers........
To ensure that the burger cooks evenly, make a thumbprint indentation into each patty before it goes on the grill. Press a little indentation into the top of each raw patty with your thumb or the back of a spoon. The indentation helps the patty hold its shape rather than swelling.
