Smoked Turkey Sausage Dogs w/ Baked Fries

Dinner Tonight: Smoked Turkey Sausage Dogs w/ Baked Fries

For Breakfast this morning I had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. 20 degrees this morning with
frost. 38 degrees and mostly cloudy for the day. I had to be at the Doctor's Office at 8:30 this
morning. Time for my 6 month exam at my Oncologist. He gave a Physical check along with blood work. Everything looked to be normal! It seems a lifetime ago since I had Melanoma Cancer but I guess it will always be in the back of mind the fight I had with it. I've come a long way, Caner Free since June or July of 2004! I used to have scans and x-rays one a year but I've been cleared to just 2 Physicals a year and 1 visit a year to the Dermatologist. But I'll always stay alert to any skin changes. Anyway for Dinner tonight its a Smoked Turkey Sausage Dogs w/ Baked Fries.

I used the Butterball Hardwood Smoked Turkey Sausage. I cut the Sausage Links into Bun length
pieces. I absolutely love the Butterball Hardwood Smoked Turkey Sausage. It’s got such a fantastic flavor and always cooks up just right. To prepare them I used a large skillet, added about a 1/2 tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and preheated it on medium heat. Put the Sausage in the skillet when it was heated up and covered with a lid. I turned the Sausage every few minutes to get an even char on them, cooked about 11 minutes total. As always they came out just bursting with flavor and flat-out delicious! I served it on a Aunt Millie’s Reduced Calorie Whole Grain Hot Dog Bun and topped with French’s Spicy Brown Mustard. I love these Smoked Sausages.

To go with the Sausage Dog I baked up some Alexia Organic Yukon Select Fries. Seasoned them with Morton’s Lite salt and Ground Black Pepper. Baked them at 425 degrees for 16 minutes. They bake up beautifully and seasoned just right.! Plus they are only 120 calories and 15 net carbs. Served with a side of my favorite Ketchup, Hunt’s Ketchup. For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn with a Diet Mango Snapple to drink.

Smoked Turkey Sausage Dogs w/ Baked Fries

Dinner Tonight: Smoked Turkey Sausage Dogs w/ Baked Fries

For Breakfast this morning I had a Poached Egg and I served it on a Thomas Light 100 Calorie Multi
Grain Bun. I also had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. 31 degrees this morning with frost. 55 degrees and mostly cloudy for the day. Mom is feeling better but still congested. So far I'm still flu free. Cleaned the house today, dusted and ran the sweeper. Then later I got my cart out of the shed and raked leaves in the back yard. So for Dinner tonight I prepared Smoked Turkey Sausage Dogs w/ Baked Fries.

Smoked Turkey Sausage Dogs w/ Baked Fries

Dinner Tonight: Smoked Turkey Sausage Dogs w/ Baked Fries

For Breakfast this morning I lightly fried a couple of al fresco Country Style Chicken Sausage Breakfast Patties. I love these, they’re fully cooked so they fry up in 6 to 8 minutes per side. One of
the best Breakfast Patties I’ve found. Great seasoning and the perfect size for Breakfast Sandwiches. So I made me and Mom a couple of Breakfast Sandwiches. I also added a 1/2 a slice of Boar’s Head Vermont Cheddar to the Sandwich. What a change in weather around here. We had a high of 69 degrees today. But humid and real heavy rain. They say we'll end up with 6" inches of rain. There will be a lot of flooded areas if we get that much. So not much to do out in the rain. Stayed in and cleaned the house today, dusted and vacuumed. Watched some College Football late afternoon. So for Dinner tonight I prepared Smoked Turkey Sausage Dogs w/ Baked Fries.

As usual I used the Butterball Hardwood Smoked Turkey Sausage. I cut the Sausage Links into Bun length pieces. I absolutely love the Butterball Hardwood Smoked Turkey Sausage. It’s got such a

Baked Chicken Wings w/ Baked Fries and Light Texas Toast

Dinner Tonight: Baked Chicken Wings w/ Baked Fries and Light Texas Toast

For Breakfast this morning I toasted a Thomas Light Multi Grain English Muffin English Muffin. I
normally use Healthy Life Multi Grain English Muffins but Kroger is the only store to carry them and they haven't had any in stock for over a month. Time to switch! The Thomas Muffins are comparable to the Healthy Life, both are 100 calories and 17 net carbs. Anyway I topped the Muffin with a Poached Egg. Also had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Sunny, hot, and very humid outside today! The normal August weather has returned! After Lunch I got the leaf blower out and cleaned off the deck and driveway areas. Too humid to be outside for me. Took it easy the rest of the day. For Dinner tonight I prepared Baked Chicken Wings w/ Baked Fries and Light Texas Toast.

For the Wings I'm using Kroger Oven Roasted Chicken Wings. I started by heating the oven on  425 degrees F., same temperature I'll need for my Fries and Texas Toast. I took a small Baking Sheet and lined it with foil. Then sprayed it with Pam Non Stick Cooking Spray. Spread the Wings out across the sheet and baked them for 33 minutes, turning them once after 17 minutes. I love Wings, and these are excellent Wings! Served them with Dipping Sauces of Hidden Valley Buffalo/Ranch Dressing and Litehouse Light Blue Cheese Dressing.

With the oven already heated I baked my Fries. I used Ore Ida Crinkle Cut Fries. Like all the Ore Ida Products, they are easy to prepare and delicious. I just baked them for 19 minutes and done! Served them with a side of Hunt’s Ketchup.

I also baked up some slices of New York Bakery Light Texas Toast. For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn and a Coke Zero to drink.

Smoked Turkey Sausage Dogs w/ Baked Fries

Dinner Tonight: Smoked Turkey Sausage Dogs w/ Baked Fries

For Breakfast this morning I lightly fried a couple of al fresco Country Style Chicken Sausage Breakfast Patties - With a hint of Sage and Thyme. I love these, they're fully cooked so they fry up in
6 to 8 minutes per side. One of the best Breakfast Patties I've found. Great seasoning and the perfect size for my Healthy Life Whole Grain English Muffins. So I made me and Mom a couple of Breakfast Sandwiches. I also added a 1/2 a slice of Boar's Head Vermont Cheddar to the Sandwich. So Mom had a couple of errands to run and I had to do a few things around the house. I had the wooden deck repaired a while back and my neighbor came over did some touch up painting for me this afternoon. It's another hot and humid day out again, 99 degrees. Later on I went through my closet and dresser gathering up some clothes that were too small or I just didn't wear anymore. I then took them to the local Goodwill Store. I also gave them Dad's old clothes and some things that my Mom had gathered up also. So for Dinner tonight I prepared Smoked Turkey Sausage Dogs w/ Baked Fries.

I used the Butterball Hardwood Smoked Turkey Sausage. I cut the Sausage Links into Bun length

Sweet Italian Turkey Sausage w/ Baked Shoestring Fries

Dinner Tonight: Sweet Italian Turkey Sausage w/ Baked Shoestring Fries

To start my morning off I toasted a Healthy Life Whole Grain English Muffin that I topped with  Smucker’s Sugar Free Blackberry Jam. I also had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. It
was in the low 30’s this morning when I went out to fetch the morning papers. It was cloudy and mid 40’s out for the day then. Mostly cloudy and a high of 50 degrees today. We need some bright sunny days around here, these cloudy and gray days are getting old! After Breakfast I headed to Meijer for a few items. Then picked up Breakfast for Mom at McDonald's.  After Lunch we headed up to see Dad for a while. He's not doing good at all, the Dementia is advancing quickly now. For Dinner tonight I prepared a Sweet Italian Turkey Sausage w/ Baked Shoestring Fries.

I used the healthy and delicious Jennie O Lean Sweet Italian Turkey Sausages. I had a package of two in the freezer so I let them thaw overnight in the fridge. I pan fried them, using Pam w/ Olive Oil
Cooking Spray and no oil needed. Heated the pan on medium and cooked a total of about 17 minutes, turning the Sausages occasionally. They fry up plump and brown, as always Jennie – O Products always have that fresh taste to them. The Sausages have 160 calories and 0 carbs per Sausage. I served it on a Aunt Millie’s Reduced Calorie Whole Grain Bun and topped with French’s Spicy Brown Mustard. Love these, thank you Jennie – O!

Then for a side I baked some Alexia Organic Yukon Select Fries. The more I have these the more I’m liking them! Seasoned them with McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Black Peppercorn Medley. Baked them at 425 degrees for 18 minutes. They bake up beautifully and seasoned just right, excellent Shoestring Fry! Plus they are only 120 calories and 15 net carbs. For dessert later a Jello Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Pudding topped with Cool Whip Free.

Crab Cake Slider w/ Baked Fries

Dinner Tonight: Crab Cake Slider w/ Baked Fries

For Breakfast on this Sunday Morning I Poached an Egg and served it on a Healthy Life Whole Grain English Muffin. Also had that Morning Cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Mom went on to Church and I stayed home keeping an eye on Dad. Did some light house cleaning, swept the wooden deck off outside, and did a load of laundry for Mom. After Lunch went over to a friend of mine to catch up, hadn't seen him in a while. Sunny and 50 degrees outside today. Mom already has flowers coming up in the front. I'll be glad to see the Spring here! So for dinner tonight it’s Crab Cake Slider w/ Baked Fries.

I’m using Kroger Private Selection Maryland Style Crab Cakes, my favorite! They come frozen and there’s 2 to a box. To prepare them just preheat the oven on 400 degrees and bake for 30 minutes.
Nothing beats a fresh made Crab Cake, but these are too good to be frozen! They’re just the right size, about 3.5 ounces each, and full of flavor. Baked them for about 30 minutes and they were done. Topped them with Louisiana Remoulade Dressing and served then on a Pepperidge Farm Sweet and Soft Slider Bun. This makes one delicious Slider! The taste of the Crab Meat and Remoulade Sauce is perfect together! If you want one flavorful Remoulade Sauce you have to try the LOUISIANA Remoulade Dressing. This sauce is incredible and is good on about anything you put it on!

I had already preheated the oven, so as the griddle was heating I baked my Fries, I’m using Alexia Organic Yukon Select Fries. Seasoned them with McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Black Peppercorn
Medley. Baked them at 425 degrees for 16 minutes. They bake up beautifully and seasoned just right, excellent Shoestring Fry! Plus they are only 120 calories and 15 net carbs. It’s an easy prepared but hot and filling meal. For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn and a Diet Peach Snapple to drink.

Crab Cake Slider w/ Baked Fries

Dinner Tonight: Crab Cake Slider w/ Baked Fries

Started my morning off with 2 slices of toasted Aunt Millie’s Light Whole Grain Bread (lightly buttered), 1 medium egg (sunny side up), 2 Jennie – O Turkey Breakfast Sausage Links, and my
morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. After Breakfast I went to the local Kroger up the road, needed a few items. Stopped by the ATM and got gas before heading back.  Rain early then mostly cloudy and 53 degrees out. A friend of mine called and asked if I could pick them up at the Dayton Airport, picked them up at 2:30 this afternoon. Back home not a lot going on.

Sweet Italian Turkey Sausage w/ Baked Fries

Dinner Tonight: Sweet Italian Turkey Sausage w/ Baked Fries

For Breakfast this morning I had a bowl of Cheerios's Cereal and a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea.
After Breakfast I had to get the hedge clippers and leaf blower out. I had to trim back Mom's Rose Bushes they growing up over on to the wooden deck out front. Then used the leaf blower and cleaned off the deck and driveway areas. I went to see Dad at the rehab center. He seems to be doing good. Hopefully he’ll be home in a couple of weeks. Back home, I got the cart out and finished up some yard work and took a spin around the neighborhood. It’s a little hotter and the humidity was a tad worse. For Dinner tonight I prepared a Sweet Italian Turkey Sausages w/ Baked Shoestring Fries.

I used the healthy and delicious Jennie O Lean Sweet Italian Turkey Sausages. I had bought a package at Meijer the other day. I pan fried them, using Pam w/ Olive Oil Cooking Spray and no oil needed. Heated the pan on medium and cooked a total of about 17 minutes, turning the Sausages occasionally. They fry up plump and brown, as always Jennie – O Products always have that fresh taste to them. The Sausages have 160 calories and 0 carbs per Sausage.

I served it on a new Aunt Millie’s Hot Dog Bun, the Aunt Millie’s New England Style Potato Hot
Dog Bun. It’s a bit higher in calories and carbs than the Aunt Millie’s Reduced Calories Buns I normally buy, but these looked so good I had to try them! The buns are a top loaded bun. Plus they have a Potato flavor to them. After trying them I really like them, jut wish they were a bit lower in calories and carbs. I topped Sausage with French’s Spicy Brown Mustard. Love these Sweet Italian Sausages, thank you Jennie – O! I made 2 of them having one tonight and the other for Lunch tomorrow.

Then for a side I baked some Alexia Organic Yukon Select Fries. Seasoned them with McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Black Peppercorn Medley. Baked them at 425 degrees for 16 minutes. They bake up beautifully and seasoned just right, excellent Shoestring Fry! Plus they are only 120 calories and 15 net carbs. For dessert later a Jello Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Pudding.

Crab Cake Slider w/ Baked Fries

Dinner Tonight: Crab Cake Slider w/ Baked Fries

Started my morning off with 2 slices of toasted Aunt Millie's Light Whole Grain Bread (lightly
buttered), 1 medium egg (sunnyside up), 2 Jennie – O Turkey Breakfast Sausage Links, and my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. After Breakfast I went to the local Kroger up the road, needed a few items. Stopped by the ATM and got gas before heading back. Another hot day out, 91 degrees and humid. Did some light cleaning up around the house and cleaned around the house outside. Not much else going on for the day. So for dinner tonight it’s Crab Cake Slider w/ Baked Fries.

I’m using Kroger Private Selection Maryland Style Crab Cakes. They come frozen and there’s 2 to a
box. Served then on a Pepperidge Farm Wheat Slider Buns. Topped them with Louisiana Remoulade Dressing. This makes one delicious Slider! The taste of the Crab Meat and Remoulade Sauce is perfect together! If you want one flavorful Remoulade Sauce you have to try the LOUISIANA Remoulade Dressing. This sauce is incredible and is good on about anything you put it on!

Then I also Baked some Ore Ida Crinkle Fries, with a side of Hunt’s Ketchup for dipping. For dessert later a Weight Watcher's Cookies and Cream Ice Cream Bar..
