Tuna Helper Tuna Cheesy Pasta and Rustic Sesame Loaf Bread

Dinner Tonight: Tuna Helper Tuna Cheesy Pasta and Rustic Sesame Loaf Bread

To start this Saturday morning off I opened up a can of Turkey Spam. I sliced off 3 slices and fried it up in a 1/2 tablespoon of Extra Light Olive Oil. Next using the same skillet I Scrambled up a couple Eggs, when done topped them with a sprinkle of Sargento 4 Month Aged Off the Block Gouda
Cheese and some Ortega Smoked Chipotle Taco Sauce. Then I toasted a slice of Aunt Millie's Light Whole Grain Bread and a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Excellent Breakfast! 46 degrees and cloudy out today, with snow coming in tomorrow along with a Artic Freeze!. Afterward I did a load of laundry. Then after Lunch I got the cart, leaf blower, and rake out of the shed. I cleaned up around the house, flowerbeds, deck, and driveway areas. Feels good to get outside! For Dinner tonight I prepared a Tuna Helper Tuna Cheesy Pasta and Rustic Sesame Loaf Bread.

I came across a box of Betty Crocker Tuna Helper Tuna Cheesy Pasta at Jungle Jim's the other day and it just sounded good. I've fixed many of the Helper styles before, first time for the Tuna. To make the Dish I'll need; 1 Box of Tuna Helper, Water, 2% Milk, Butter, and 2 cans of Chicken of the Sea Tuna.

To prepare it I started by heating oven to 425 degrees. Stir Pasta, Sauce Mix, 11/2 cups boiling Water, 2 cups 25 Milk, 3 Tbsp. Blue Bonnet Light Butter and the Tuna in ungreased 2-quart casserole. Cover it with some aluminum foil and bake about 35 minutes or until pasta is tender. Uncover carefully; stir. (Sauce will thicken as it cools.)

This came out an excellent dish! The Pasta was great, very good Cheese, and the Tuna worked perfect with Pasta. Plenty of Leftovers for a few Lunches! I also baked the other half of the Rustic Sesame Loaf Bread from the other night. For Dessert later a bowl of Breyer's Carb Smart Vanilla Bean Ice Cream topped with Smucker's Sugarless Hot Fudge Topping.

Tuna Melt with Horseradish Mayonnaise w/ Baked Fries

Dinner Tonight: Tuna Melt with Horseradish Mayonnaise w/ Baked Fries

Another day, another day of additional snow!! Only 1" overnight but it just keeps adding up. I heard this morning on the morning news that we've set a new record for the most snow. This area just isn't used to this snow for this long of a period of time. It's been quite a Winter. For dinner tonight something new, a Tuna Melt with Horseradish Mayonnaise w/ Baked Fries.

Came across a form of this recipe from a Food Network Magazine a while back and also I've seen several others online. I love Tuna, Melts, and Cheese so I thought I would give it a try. I used 2 - 5 -ounce cans of Chicken of the Sea Chunk Light Tuna in Water (Drained), 3 tablespoons Kraft Light Mayonnaise, 1/4 cup finely chopped celery, 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley, 1 teaspoon Paprika, 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar, and Sea Salt and Ground Black Pepper (to taste) for the Tuna. Then for the Horseradish Mayonnaise I needed 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish, 4 tablespoons Kraft Light Mayonnaise, and 1 tablespoon French's Spicy Brown Mustard. I also need Meijer Bakery Whole Wheat Mini Sub Buns and slices of Muenster Cheese.

To prepare it I preheated the oven to 475 degrees F. Combined 4 tablespoons mayonnaise, the tuna, celery, parsley, paprika, and vinegar in a large bowl and mixed well. Seasoned with salt and pepper. Combined 4 tablespoons of mayonnaise along with the mustard and prepared horseradish in a small bowl; spread on the bread slices and arrange on a baking sheet. Mound the tuna mixture on top and pat it into an even layer. Topping each with 1 cheese slice. Baked until the cheese melts, 5 to 7 minutes. It turned out incredible! The Tuna mix had great flavor along with the melted Muenster Cheese and Crusty Bun. A keeper recipe for sure! You can serve it open face, which I did or top it with the other half of the bun.

I also had baked some Ore Ida Simply Cracked Black Pepper and Sea Salt Country Style Fries, served with Hunt's Ketchup. For dessert my Mom had baked an Apple Pie that she made with Splenda. The pie just melts in your mouth!

Baked Tuna Casserole w/ Whole Grain Bread

Dinner Tonight: Baked Tuna Casserole w/ Whole Grain Bread

I hope everyone else is having a better stretch of weather than what we are having. I'm glad the warm weather is here but we always seem to get the humidity with it, and that's not good. Did anyone watch the guy tightrope across the Grand Canyon last night? Nerves of steel! For dinner I baked a Tuna Casserole and had some sliced Whole Grain Bread with it. Nice light dinner tonight.

I used a box of Walmart Brand Great Value Cheesy Tuna Skillet Meal as my base for the Casserole. It came with Pasta and a Cheesy Sauce Mix. I added a can of Chicken of the Sea Light Chunk Tuna in Water (10 oz.), 1 1/2 cups Water, 2 cups 2% Milk, 3 tbsp. Blue Bonnet Light Stick Butter, a couple of shakes of Hungarian Paprika, and Progresso Italian Style Bread Crumbs. I mixed all those ingredients up in a 2 qt. baking dish, except the Bread Crumbs which I added to the top of the mix. I then covered it with aluminum foil and baked it at 425 degrees for about 37 minutes. It really came out very good! Nice and creamy, hearty dish. I also had a couple of slices of Healthy Life Whole Grain Bread topped with I Can't Believe It's Not Butter. For dessert later a Healthy Choice Chocolate Swirl Frozen Yogurt.

Tuna Mac w/ Mango & Pineapple Salsa and...

Today's Menu: Tuna Mac w/ Mango & Pineapple Salsa and Harvest Grain Bread.

I had a super refreshing and light dinner tonight! I made some Tuna Mac, been forever since I made some. I used Velveeta/Kraft Whole Grain Rotini & Cheese for the Mac part and Chicken of the Sea Chunk Light Tuna (In water) for the Tuna. I also made some Mango & Pineapple Salsa as a side. First time I made the Salsa and it was delicious, light, and refreshing. I used the frozen Del Monte Mango and the Pineapple Chunks, 1 bag of each. Chopped up about 2 tablespoons of fresh Cilontro, 1 tablespoon chopped Green Chilies, and Sea Salt and Pepper to taste. Mix well and serve! I also had Kroger Bakery Harvest Grain Bread. Together made a fantastic dinner, with plenty of leftovers.
