Kitchen Hint of the Day!

When choosing meat or poultry in the supermarket, look out for liquid on the bottom of the package. If it is there, it means the food has been frozen and thawed; the cells have ruptured, releasing some of the fluids. To store meat in the refrigerator, wrap it in a clean plastic wrap or waxed paper. The supermarket wrapping often contains residue.
