Hint #1 - Adding salt to water to cook pasta faster is a waste of time, since the amount needed would be too much to fit in one pot. If you added 1 tablespoon of salt to 5 quarts of boiling water to cook 1 pound of pasta, it would only raise the boiling point by 7/100th of a second.
Hint #2 - When the weather is bad and stormy, the atmospheric pressure goes down. The lower the pressure, the lower the boiling temperature of water becomes.
