Mushroom and Sharp Cheddar Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries

Dinner Tonight: Mushroom and Sharp Cheddar Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries








Well the Holiday's are over and time to get things back to normal. We didn't have a lot of decorations so we'll keep what we have up till this weekend. It's been a cold but sunny day out today. Ran a couple of errands for Mom and that's been about it for today. I warmed up the leftovers from the Christmas Feast for Mom and Dad for dinner. Myself, I really didn't want leftovers so I prepared a Mushroom and Sharp Cheddar Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries.








I used Jennie – O Turkey Burger Patties (Lean). Only 180 calories and 9 g fat and already made into patties. Pan fried them in a 1/2 Tbs of Canola Oil and seasoned it with Sea Salt and Ground Black Pepper. I served it on an Aunt Millie’s Reduced Calorie Whole Grain Bun and topped with some sauteed sliced Baby Bella Mushrooms and a slice of Sargento Reduced Fat Sharp Cheddar. I also baked some Ore Ida Simply Cracked Black Pepper and Sea Salt Country Style Fries. Served these with a side Daisy Reduced Fat Sour Cream. For dessert later a Jello Sugar Free Double Chocolate Pudding topped with Cool Whip Free.

The rains and storms finally ended, we ended up with over 2" of rain. We avoided any storm damage like some of the area had. Had to go to Walmart and pick up several items. It just still amazes me on Walmarts prices compared to Kroger! A box of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea at Walmart $1.28 - Kroger $1.98, Tide Detergent Walmart $11.49 - Kroger $12.39, Ball Park Turkey Franks, Fisher Nuts, Del Monte Products, it all keeps adding up. Look before you buy! For dinner tonight I prepared Mushroom and Sharp Cheddar Turkey Burgers w/ Baked Fries for everyone.

Oh yeah it was about 12 degrees this morning! Sunny but a cold day today. I hadn't been to Costco in a while so they open at 10:00 am. so I was there when they opened, best time to get an electric cart that's fully charged. Picked up 2 big and beautiful Walleye Fillets, after cutting them down I'll get at least 6 nice size smaller fillets. Picked up some other bulk items that I was running low on and picked up some items that always gets me in the Holiday Spirit. I bought a case of Green Beans, Baked Beans, and a case of Turkey Stuffing and delivered to our local food shelter. I'm a firm believer that it is better to give than receive. And with so many people in need it feels good to help when you can. For dinner tonight, Mushroom and Sharp Cheddar Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries.






I used Jennie – O Turkey Burger Patties (Lean). Only 180 calories and 9 g fat and already made into patties. Pan fried it in a 1/2 Tbs of Canola Oil and seasoned it with Sea Salt and Ground Black Pepper. I served it on an Aunt Millie’s Reduced Calorie Whole Grain Bun and topped with a slice of Sargento Reduced Fat Sharp Cheddar. I also baked some Ore Ida Simply Cracked Black Pepper and Sea Salt Country Style Fries. Served these with a side Daisy Reduced Fat Sour Cream. For dessert later a Del Monte No Sugar Added Mango Chunk Cup.

Grilled Cheddar Turkey Burger and Baked Fries

A perfect Autumn day out today! It's in the low 60's and sunny. Went to the store early and then yard work. I got the 4 wheel mobility scooter out and helped Mom rake the leaves, do some final trimming, and put away some of the Summer lounge chairs. Love getting out like that and doing work, thankfully I have that scooter that lets me get out like that and help out! For dinner I was able to fire the grill up one more time, it will be retired after this use. Dinner tonight, a Grilled Cheddar Turkey Burger and Baked Fries.






I used Jennie – O Turkey Burger Patties (Lean). Only 180 calories and 9 g fat and already made into patties. I seasoned it with Sea Salt and Ground Black Pepper and grilled it about 17 minutes, flipping three times. I served the burger on an Aunt Millie’s Reduced Calorie Whole Grain Bun and topped with a slice of Sargento Reduced Fat Sharp Cheddar. Anything tastes better grilled, now I just have to get a better grill to do it on. I also baked some Ore Ida Simply Cracked Black Pepper and Sea Salt Country Style Fries. Served these with a side Daisy Reduced Fat Sour Cream. For dessert later a Jello Sugar Free Chocolate Pudding.

Cheddar Bacon Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries

Well they were right when they said it would be cooler! Rolled out to get the Morning Paper and the old unofficial Outdoor thermometer said 38 degrees and with the cool breeze that was blowing it felt a bit cooler than that. But I love this weather! It was a beautiful Autumn Day out, sunny and cool. For dinner tonight I prepared a Cheddar Bacon Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries.





While at Mejier last week I had picked up some Jennie – O Turkey Burger Patties (Lean). I had had one for dinner last week and it was so good I decided to have it again for dinner tonight. Easy to prepare and only 180 calories and 9 g fat and already made into patties. Pan fried it in Canola Oil about 17 minutes, flipping three times. While the pattie was frying, in another skillet I fried up some Jennie -O Turkey Bacon, another low calorie and lean Jennie – O Turkey Product. The bacon is only 30 calories, 0 carbs and .05 g fat. I served the burger on an Aunt Millie’s Reduced Calorie Whole Grain Bun and topped with a slice of Sargento Reduced Fat Sharp Cheddar and a slice of Turkey Bacon. Love these Burgers!





For a side with my burger I baked some Ore Ida Simply Cracked Black Pepper and Sea Salt Country Style Fries. Served these with a side Daisy Reduced Fat Sour Cream. For dessert later a Healthy Choice Chocolate Swirl Frozen Yogurt.

My voice has come back somewhat but still not full strength from the Laryngitis. Had the 4 Wheel Mobility Scooter out enjoying the day! They say the August Hot and Humid weather is on it's way all next week. For dinner tonight I prepared a Mushroom and Provolone Cheese Grilled Turkey Burger w/ Antipasto Salad and Garlic and Herb Hashbrowns.





I grilled a Jennie - O All White Meat Turkey Burger. A great tasting Turkey Burger and it's a pre-made pattie and only 180 calories. I grilled a total of 10 minutes, 5 minutes each side. Came out moist and juicy with a bit of char, it's hard to beat a grilled burger! I topped it with a slice of Sargento Reduced Fat Provolone and Sauteed Baby Bella Mushrooms , served it on a Healthy Life Whole Grain Bun.





For sides I had an appetizer of Antipasto Salad, purchased this from Jungle Jim's Market Deli Department. I also had Simply Potatoes Garlic and Herb Hashbrowns. First time I've tried the Garlic and Herb Hashbrowns, I eat the plain Hashbrowns all the time. These are just as good with more flavor. For dessert later a bowl of Breyer's Carb Smart Vanilla Ice cream topped with Dole Mango Slices.

Grill or fry these juicy 1/3 pounders as a better for you choice for your family.

Grilled Turkey Burger w/ Roasted Red Potatoes and Green Beans

The results from all my blood work came back negative! So they say it looks as though the high enzymes that showed up for my liver is being caused by a bit of fat on the liver, nothing that can't be taken care of. Woke up this morning and it was 40 degrees with a chilly wind! Only a high in the 50's, but sunny! For dinner I fired the grill up, grilling a couple of Angus Beef Burgers for Mom and Dad and myself a Turkey Burger along with a side of Roasted Red Potatoes and Green Beans.




The Parents are partial to Beef over Turkey so I grilled them a couple of Walmart Brand Angus Beef
Burgers. For myself I grilled a Jennie - O Lean Turkey Burger Pattie. They are 1/4 lb Burger Patties and are 180 calories and 0 carbs. They grilled up real nice, I grilled it about 15 minutes flipping 3 times. It's one juicy Burger, seasoned it with sea Salt and Ground Black Pepper. Served all the Burgers on Aunt Millie's Light Whole Grain Buns and topped my mine with a slice of Sargento Ultra Thin Colby/Jack Cheese.



For a side to with our Burgers I prepared another Of Meijer's New Steamable Frozen Products, Roasted Red Potatoes and Green Beans with Rosemary Butter Sauce. Just microwave it in it's steamable bag for 5 minutes and it's done! Another good one from Meijer, plus it's only 60 cal, 1g fat, 12 carbs. For dessert later a Healthy Choice Vanilla Bean Frozen Yogurt. Happy Memorial Day Weekend All!
