Grilled Ham and Swiss on Sour Dough Bread w/ Baked Fries

Dinner Tonight: Grilled Ham and Swiss on Sour Dough Bread w/ Baked Fries

For Breakfast this morning I prepared some Simply Potatoes Hash Browns along with 2 Johnsonville Turkey Breakfast Sausage Links, a fried Sunnyside Up Egg, and a toasted slice of Aunt Millie's Light Whole Grain Bread. Also had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Bad morning outside today. It first snowed around 2 inches or more and then turned to freezing rain for a while before turning to all rain. Made for some slippery roads around this area. Plus a lot more rain on the way they say, and more flooding. Changed the brush on the sweeper and then cleaned the house, dusted and ran the vacuum. For Dinner tonight one of my favorite Sandwiches. I prepared a Grilled Ham and Swiss on Sour Dough Bread w/ Baked Fries.

I had a 1/2 loaf of the Gold Miner Sour Dough Bread in the freezer so I sat out to thaw overnight. I
love using this when making grilled sandwiches. To prepare the Sandwiches I’ll need; Boar’s Head Sweet Slice Ham, Sargento Reduced Fat Swiss Cheese, French’s Yellow Mustard, Kraft Reduced Fat Mayo w/ Olive Oil, and Goldminer California Sourdough Bread. I used the flat top Griddle to grill it with. I sprayed the griddle with a very light coat of Pam Cooking Spray and spread about 1/2 tablespoon of Blue Bonnet Light Butter on it. Heated it on medium heat. I also turned the oven on at 425 degrees, for the Fries.

While the griddle was heating I got the Sandwich ready to grill. Took a slice of the Sour Dough Bread
and topped it with some of the Kraft Mayo, the Boar’s Head Ham, the Sargento Swiss, French’s Mustard, and added the top slice of the Sour Dough Bread. I then Buttered the bottom and top halves of the Bread with Blue Bonnet Butter. With the griddle heated I grilled my Sandwich. Grilled the bottom half just over 3 minutes, then flipped it over and grilled the other side about 2 1/2 minutes. Until both sides were golden brown! I love Grilled Sandwiches!

I had already preheated the oven, so as the Sandwich was finishing cooking I baked the Fries, I’m using Alexia Organic Yukon Select Fries. Seasoned them with McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Black Peppercorn Medley. Baked them at 425 degrees for 16 minutes. They bake up beautifully and seasoned just right, excellent Shoestring Fry! Plus they are only 120 calories and 15 net carbs. It’s an easy prepared but hot and filling meal. For Dessert/Snack later a few slices of a Honeycrisp Apple.

Grilled Ham and Swiss on Sour Dough Bread w/ Baked Fries

Dinner Tonight: Grilled Ham and Swiss on Sour Dough Bread w/ Baked Fries

For Breakfast this morning I toasted a couple of slices of Aunt Millie's Light Whole Grain Bread and topped them with some Smucker's Sugarless Blackberry Jam. Also had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Outside it is one bone-chilling morning out there! We have snow flurries and its 21 degrees but with the wind chill its around 10 degrees. That's a long way from our 64 degrees 2 days earlier. So not a lot going on outside today. Gave Mom a hand with laundry and cleaned the house today. For Dinner tonight its a Grilled Ham and Swiss on Sour Dough Bread w/ Baked Fries.

We hadn't had the Gold Miner Sour Dough Bread in a while so I purchased a loaf at the local
Kroger. Baked Ham/Swiss and Turkey /Cheddar Sliders w/ Thanksgiving Leftovers

Dinner Tonight: Baked Ham/Swiss and Turkey /Cheddar Sliders w/ Thanksgiving Leftovers

For Breakfast this morning I heated up the leftover Diced Potatoes and Diced Ham that I had prepared yesterday. Not a bad day out today, 54 degrees and mostly cloudy. After Lunch I took Mom's car up to have it washed and then I cleaned all of the inside windows and vacuumed it out for her. Later on I entered a Scrabble Tournament online. I love Scrabble! For Dinner tonight I used the Leftovers from Thanksgiving. I prepared Baked Ham/Swiss and Turkey /Cheddar Sliders w/ Thanksgiving Side Leftovers.

For Dinner its Baked Ham and Swiss Sliders along with Turkey and Vermont Cheddar Sliders. To make them I’ll need; King's Hawaiian Sweet Rolls (Cut in half), leftover Ham, leftover Turkey Breast, Sargento Swiss Cheese, Boar's Head Vermont Yellow Cheddar, Blue Bonnet Light Butter – 4 Tbsp (original recipe called for 8), 2 tsp. Dried Onion Powder, 1 1/2 tsp. Worchestershire Sauce, 1 1/2 tsp. Ken’s Light Poppyseed Dressing, and 1/2 tsp. French’s Yellow Mustard.

Next I made my Bun Topping Sauce. I grabbed a medium size bowl to mix my ingredients in. I then mixed the Butter, Onion Powder, Worchestershire Sauce, Ken’s Light Poppyseed Dressing, and French’s Yellow Mustard together. Stirred until well mixed and sit it aside until ready to use it.

Then to prepare the Sliders; preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Then I got an 11 x 14 baking pan that I
lined with foil and sprayed with Pam Non-Stick Cooking Spray. I placed the bottom half of the Slider Buns in the bottom of the baking pan. Next I placed the Sweet Sliced Ham and Sliced Turkey Breast on top of each Bun. You can put as much of the Ham or Turkey you want on each. I then placed a 1/2 a slice of the Swiss on the Ham and Cheddar cheese on top of the Turkey. Then added the the top 1/2 of each bun to each Slider. Then topped all the Sliders with Topping Sauce Mixture. Covered the baking pan with foil and baked at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Removed the foil and baked an additional 15 minutes to allow the rolls to crisp. Remove from oven to cool and serve.

These Baked Ham Sliders are incredible! The Ham, Turkey, Cheese, and Buns are all great but the Topping Sauce makes the Dish. The Sauce gives it such great flavor, love these Sliders! Plus a great way to use those Thanksgiving Leftovers!

Then I also heated the leftover Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans. Those Canned Green Beans are so delicious! We had canned these during Summer and broke out the first jar for Thanksgiving, so good! For Dessert later a Jello Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Pudding.

Grilled Ham and Swiss Sandwich w/ Baked Crinkle Fries

Dinner Tonight: Grilled Ham and Swiss Sandwich w/ Baked Crinkle Fries

For Breakfast this morning I Scrambled a couple of Eggs and topped it with some Sargento Reduced Fat Shredded Sharp Cheddar and some Ortega Smoked Chipotle Taco Sauce. I also toasted a couple slices of Aunt Millie's Light Whole Grain Bread and had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Outside some rain early and then partly cloudy and 58 degrees out. I already voted, with an Absentee Ballot. I'm not active today as my sinuses have bothering the last day or so. Bad headache most of the night and afternoon. So plenty of rest today. For Dinner tonight its Grilled Ham and Swiss Sandwich w/ Baked Crinkle Fries.

Mom had been wanting Grilled Ham and Swiss. So with not feeling so good today this was fine with
me, easy meal to prepare! It’s a Comfort Food Dinner tonight for me, Grilled Ham and Swiss Cheese Sandwich w/ Baked Ore Ida Crinkle Fries. To make my Grilled Ham Cheese I’ll be using; Kraft Reduced Fat Mayo, French’s Yellow Mustard, Boar’s Head Sweet Slice Ham, Sargento Reduced Fat Swiss Cheese, Blue Bonnet Light Butter, and Healthy Life Whole Grain Bread to make my Sandwich.

To prepare it I started by buttering the outside half of a slice of bread. Next spread the Mayo on the bottom slice of Bread, next layered the Ham, spread the Mustard, and added the slice of the Swiss. Added my top half of the sliced bread, buttering the outside of the slice. I then got out a large skillet, heated it up on medium heat and lightly coated it with a 1/2 pat of Butter. When the Butter was melted I added my sandwich. Grilled it on both sides until it was golden brown and the Cheese melted. Love these Grilled Ham and Cheese Sandwiches.

I also baked some Ore Ida Crinkle Fries, served these with a side of Hunt’s Ketchup for dipping. For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn and a Peach Diet Snapple to drink.

Baked Sliders - Ham and Swiss, Pulled Pork BBQ and Colby w/ Baked Fries

Dinner Tonight: Baked Sliders - Ham and Swiss, Pulled Pork BBQ and Colby w/ Baked Fries

For Breakfast this morning I prepared a Breakfast Sandwich. I toasted a Thomas Light 100 Calorie Multi Grain English Muffin. Then I lightly fried some slices of Boar's Head Sweet Slice Ham, Scrambled some Egg Beater's Egg Whites, and topped it all with a 1/2 slice of Boar's Head Longhorn Colby Cheese. Also had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Another day of thunderstorms, humid, and 84 degrees outside. Really battling my allergies and sinuses the last few days so I didn't do a lot today. Sure hope this lets up soon! For Dinner tonight I prepared Baked Sliders - Ham and Swiss, Pulled Pork BBQ and Colby w/ Baked Fries.

For Dinner; Baked Ham and Swiss Sliders and Pulled Pork BBQ and Cheddar Sliders. To make them I’ll need Kroger Whole Wheat Slider Buns. These are only 70 calories and 13 carbs. I also used Boar’s Head Sweet Sliced Ham, Sargento Swiss Cheese, Montgomery Inn Pulled Pork BBQ, Boar's Head Colby Longhorn Cheese, Blue Bonnet Light Butter – 4 Tbsp (original recipe called for 8), 2 tsp. Dried Onion Powder, 1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce, 1 1/2 tsp. Ken’s Light Poppyseed Dressing, and 1/2 tsp. French’s Yellow Mustard.

To start I heated up the Montgomery Inn Pulled Pork BBQ. Just got a small sauce pan and sprayed it
with Pam Non Stick Cooking Spray. Added the Pork and heated it on low until it was time to use it.

Next I made my Bun Topping Sauce. I grabbed a medium size bowl to mix my ingredients in. I then
mixed the Butter, Onion Powder, Worcestershire Sauce, Ken’s Light Poppyseed Dressing, and French’s Yellow Mustard together. Stirred until well mixed and sit it aside until ready to use it.

Then to prepare the Sliders; preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Then I got an 11 x 14 baking pan that I lined with foil and sprayed with Pam Non-Stick Cooking Spray. I placed the bottom half of the Slider Buns in the bottom of the baking pan. Next I placed the Sweet Sliced Ham on top of each Bun. You can put as much of the Ham you want on each. I then placed a 1/2 a slice of either the Swiss on top of the Ham. Next I added a 1/2 slice of the Longhorn Cheese to the remaining Buns and topped it with the Pork BBQ.

The Ham, Cheese, Buns are all great but the Topping Sauce makes the Dish. The Sauce gives it such great flavor, love these Sliders! And the BBQ Pulled Pork and Longhorn Cheese were mouth watering! Again that Topping Sauce makes the Slider!

As the Sliders cooled I turned the oven up to 425 degrees and baked my Fries. I used Ore Ida Crinkle
Cut Fries. Like all the Ore Ida Products, they are easy to prepare and delicious. I just baked them for 19 minutes and done! Served them with a side of Hunt’s Ketchup. Baked Ham Sliders or the Pulled Pork BBQ Sliders and Fries make one delicious meal! For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn and a Coke Zero to drink.

Grilled Ham and Swiss on Sour Dough Bread w/ Baked Fries

Dinner Tonight; Grilled Ham and Swiss on Sour Dough Bread w/ Baked Fries

Just a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea to start the day off. I spent a long and sleepless night last night. Had a painful bout with Phantom Pains. Although I'm a left leg amputee, these Phantom Pains are very real. I can tell you what part of my leg or foot is being affected. It's a condition that affects many of amputee patients. I just wish the Medical World would come up with something to stop or ease the pains. The pains started about 10:00 last night and didn't end until around Noon today. So with no rest or sleep last night I spent most of the day resting and catching up on some sleep. For Dinner tonight its a Grilled Ham and Swiss on Sour Dough Bread w/ Baked Fries.

To prepare the Sandwiches I’ll need; Boar’s Head Sweet Slice Ham, Sargento Reduced Fat Swiss
Cheese, French’s Yellow Mustard, Kraft Reduced Fat Mayo w/ Olive Oil, and Goldminer California Sourdough Bread. I used the flat top Griddle to grill it with. For Breakfast I reheated the leftover Skillet Potatoes and Ham from yesterday. To prepare it I used 1 package of Simply Potatoes Steakhouse Seasoned Diced Potatoes and a package of Meijer Diced

I topped it with a sprinkle of Sargento Reduced Fat Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese. Also had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Cloudy, Humid and 81 degrees today. After Breakfast I headed off to Meijer to do some grocery shopping. Stopped by McDonald's and picked up Breakfast for Mom. Really too humid for me to do a lot outside today, that and my allergies! We have had bad pollen count all this Spring and my allergies are proof! Did a few things around the house then laid down for a while, bad sinus headache today. For Dinner tonight its a Grilled Ham and Swiss on Sour Dough Bread w/ Baked Fries.

Grilled Ham and Swiss on Sour Dough Bread w/ Baked Fries

Dinner Tonight; Grilled Ham and Swiss on Sour Dough Bread w/ Baked Fries

To start the morning of I made some Simply Potatoes Shredded Hash Browns, Heated up some Meijer Diced Ham, fried an Egg Sunnyside Up, made a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. I made a
bed of the Hashbrowns in a bow and sprinkled some Sargento Reduced Fat Sharp Cheddar Cheese. Next I put the Diced Ham over top the Hash Browns then put the Sunnyside Up Egg on to top it off. After Breakfast I had to go to Kroger to pick for a couple of items for Mom. Then stopped by McDonald’s and picked up Breakfast for Mom and Dad.For Dinner tonight I prepared a Grilled Ham and Swiss on Sour Dough Bread w/ Baked Fries. We ended up with about 2 or 3 inches of snow. But most of it already melted, 44 degrees for a high today! Hospice is going to help us with Dad from here on out. So we'll be looking for an assisted living center with their help. Sure hate that we have to do it but it's for his safety, he's fallen 5 times the last month. So it's for the best.

After Breakfast I had to go to Kroger to pick for a couple of items. Then stopped by McDonald’s and picked up Breakfast for Mom and Dad. Mom went on to Church and stayed home and kept an eye on Dad. Did a couple of loads of laundry while she was gone and finished up cleaning the house. Then after Lunch I got the leaf blower out and cleaned off the deck and driveway areas. Everything was done so I watched some College Basketball on TV. For Dinner tonight I prepared a Grilled Ham and Swiss on Sour Dough Bread w/ Baked Fries.

I had already preheated the oven, so as the Sandwich was finishing cooking I baked my Fries, I’m using Alexia Organic Yukon Select Fries. For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn and a Coke Zero to drink.
