Panko Crusted Cubed Pork Steak w/ Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, and Green Beans

Dinner Tonight: Panko Crusted Cubed Pork Steak w/ Gravy, Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans

For Breakfast this Tuesday Morning I prepared some Simply Potatoes Shredded Hash Browns,
Heated up some Meijer Diced Ham, fried an Egg Sunnyside Up, made a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. I made a bed of the Hashbrowns in a bow and sprinkled some Sargento Reduced Fat Sharp Cheddar Cheese. Next I put the Diced Ham over top the Hash Browns then put the Sunnyside Up Egg on to top it off. After Breakfast I took Mom up to spend some time with Dad. He seems to be doing good but he's just so confused anymore. The Dementia has really advanced the past few months. So sad. For dinner tonight I prepared a Panko Crusted Cubed Pork Steak w/ White Gravy, Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans.

I bought a of packages of 2 Cubed Pork Steak at Kroger yesterday. So I got the big three out to bread
it with; Flour,Egg Beater’s, and Panko Bread Crumbs. I seasoned the Steak with Sea Salt and Black Ground Pepper. Next I seasoned the Flour with Hungarian Paprika and rolled the Cube Pork in that and shook off the excess. Then I dipped it in the Egg Beater’s shaking off the excess and then pressed both sides in the Shake and Bake Seasoned Panko Bread Crumbs, making sure both sides was well covered.

I heated up a medium size skillet, that I drizzled with Extra Virgin Olive Oil, on medium high heat. Added my Cubed Pork and fried both sides about 4 minutes per side, till each side was golden brown. Topped it with some Pioneer Peppered White Gravy. The Cubed Pork Steak came out delicious! Moist and very tender with a good flavor from the Paprika and all the other ingredients. I prepared both Cubed Steaks, Mom had the other one.

For one side dish I prepared my favorite Mashed Potatoes, Bob Evans Mashed Potatoes. Easy to fix and delicious. To prepare it just heat it up in the microwave for 6 minutes and it’s ready. To top my
Mashed Potatoes and Cubed Pork Steak I made some Pioneer Peppered White Gravy. Another quick and easy prep and comes out piping hot and delicious. I topped both my Mashed Potatoes and Cubed Steak with it. Then I also heated up a small can of Del Monte Cut Green Beans. Comfort Food Dinner Heaven tonight! For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop - Pop Corn and a Coke Zero to drink.

Panko Crusted Cubed Pork Steak w/ Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, and Green Beans

Dinner Tonight: Panko Crusted Cubed Pork Steak w/ Gravy, Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans

To start my Saturday morning off I Scrambled a couple of Eggs, fried 2 Johnsonville Turkey Breakfast Sausage Links, toasted a couple of slices of Aunt Millie's Light Whole Grain Bread, and my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. I was hungry! Sunny and 47 degrees out but not windy as it has been. It was house cleaning today, dusted and ran the sweeper. Later on cleaned and straightened up the pantry. So for dinner tonight I prepared a Panko Crusted Cubed Pork Steak w/ White Gravy, Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans.

Beef Cubed Steak w/ Peppered White Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, and Green Beans

Dinner Tonight: Beef Cubed Steak w/ Peppered White Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, and Seasoned Pinto Beans

For Breakfast this morning I prepared a favorite of mine. I made some Simply Potatoes Shredded Hash Browns, Heated up some Meijer Diced Ham, fried an Egg Sunnyside Up, made a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. I made a bed of the Hashbrowns in a bow and sprinkled some Sargento
Reduced Fat Sharp Cheddar Cheese. Next I put the Diced Ham over top the Hash Browns then put the Sunnyside Up Egg on to top it off. Mostly sunny out there but its one cold start this morning, 24 degrees! We had a high of 45. After Breakfast I headed off to Kroger to pick up a few things for Mom and our Christmas Tree. Stopped by McDonald's and picked up Breakfast for Mom and Dad. Cleaned the house this afternoon and had to replace a couple of our floor heat registers. For Dinner tonight I prepared Beef Cubed Steaks w/ Peppered White Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, and Seasoned Pinto Beans.

When at Meijer I always pick up a couple of packages of the Meijer Beef Cubed Steak. They are the
best Cubed Steak I have ever found by far and one of the very few times I have Beef. They’re good size patties so I’m able to cut them in half and get 2 meals out of 1 patty. They come 2 to a package and cooked the other Cubed Steak for Mom. This is one of the few times I use Beef. Normally I use Buffalo but as far as I know no one makes Cubed Bison Steak, at least not yet!

To prepare the Cubed Steak I seasoned them with Sea Salt and Ground Black Pepper and I then
dusted them in flour that I had mixed with a bit of Hungarian Paprika. Shook off the excess flour and pan fried them in Extra Light Olive Oil, about 4 minutes per side. They came out delicious! Excellent flavor and very tender, especially for Cubed Steak which sometimes can be somewhat tough and stringy. I also made a packet of the Pioneer Peppered White Gravy Mix. Topped the Cubed Steak and Mashed Potatoes with it.

To go with the Cubed Steak you always have to have Mashed Potatoes! I prepared some Bob Evan’s Mashed Potatoes. Just microwave for 6 minutes and serve, just as good as homemade, if not better. I also made a packet of the Pioneer Peppered White Gravy to top the Mashed Potatoes.

Then I heated up a  can of Margaret Holmes Seasoned Pinto Beans. To prepare them just empty the can into a sauce pan and heat until heated through. One delicious meal tonight. For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn and a Diet Peach Snapple to drink.

Cube Steak
Cube steak is a cut of beef, usually top round or top sirloin, tenderized by fierce pounding with a
meat tenderizer, or use of an electric tenderizer. The name refers to the shape of the indentations left by that process (called “cubing”). Many professional cooks insist that regular tenderizing mallets cause too much mashing to produce a proper cube steak, and insist on either using specialized cube steak machines, or manually applying a set of sharp-pointed rods to pierce the meat in every direction. This is the most common cut of meat used for chicken fried steak.

In Canada as well as in some parts of the United States, cube steak may be called a minute steak, because it can be cooked quickly.
Others distinguish minute steak as:
* simply referring to the cut, which is not necessarily tenderized;
* thinner than cube steak (hence does not need tenderizing);
* cut from sirloin or round, while cube steak cut is from chuck or round.
The term “minute steak” is also used in the United Kingdom, where the term “cube steak” is little known.

Panko Crusted Cubed Pork Steak w/ Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, and Green Beans

Dinner Tonight: Panko Crusted Cubed Pork Steak w/ Gravy, Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans

It was Jennie -O Turkey Sausage Links, Simply Potatoes Shredded Hash Browns, and a slice of toasted Healthy Life Whole Grain Bread, lightly buttered with I Can't Believe It's Not Butter. Meijer
had been out of the Jennie - O Turkey Sausage links for quite a while but they finally had them back stock the other day. Right after Breakfast I had to go to Walmart for a couple of items, ended up with more than what I went for! I noticed Walmart had added quite a few new items, that's a good thing. Not too bad out there today, 42 degrees and partly sunny. Cleaned the house today, ran the vacuum, dusted, etc. After Lunch I was in a Boggle Word Tournament online. Love playing Boggle. Ended up finishing in the top ten out of 72 people, not too bad. So for dinner tonight I prepared a Panko Crusted Cubed Pork Steak w/ White Gravy, Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans.

Rain, a whole of rain! They say we should end up with around 2 inches or more. Possible turning to
snow overnight. It was Jennie -O Turkey Sausage Links, Simply Potatoes Hash Browns, and a slice of toasted Healthy Life Whole Grain Bread. Finished up some laundry for Mom and did some light cleaning. After lunch I dropped of a couple of boxes of packaged Crackers and Chips to the Oncology Treatment Center here in West Chester. Good to munch on something while being treated, it always helped me. Then dropped off a few cases of canned goods at a local food shelter. For dinner tonight I prepared a Panko Crusted Cubed Pork Steak w/ White Gravy, Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans.

Biscuits and Gravy w/ Turkey Sausage Links

Dinner Tonight: Biscuits and Gravy w/ Turkey Sausage Links

It was our warmest morning in quite sometime, 60 degrees. But the wind started whipping up with gusts up to 50 mph and temperatures dropping through the day into the 40's. Had some local flooding in areas, a whole lot of rain throughout the night and early morning. Had to take the car in for some repairs. I've got a rattle that's getting louder, so I'll wait and see how much this will cost. Tonight for Dinner another Breakfast, I prepared Biscuits and Gravy w/ Turkey Sausage Links.

The Breakfast I had prepared for Dinner the other night was so good I thought I would whip up another Breakfast for Dinner. This time I made Biscuits and Gravy w/ Turkey Sausage Links. I used Pillsbury Grands JR. Biscuits. They're about half the size of the Pillsbury Grands Biscuits, but fewer calories. To prepare them just bake them at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes and done. As the Biscuits were baking I got my other 2 items ready.

I prepared a packet of Pioneer Peppered White Gravy Mix. For this, just boil 1 1/2 cups of water. Add the mix to a 1/2 cup of cold water, and mix. When the water starts boiling add your Mix and stir until it thickens up and remove from heat and serve. I topped my Biscuits with the Gravy. Now I have some Biscuits and Gravy going on! Then for a side I heated up some Johnsonville Breakfast Turkey Sausage Links. I was out of the Jennie - O Turkey Sausage Links so it was Johnsonville to the rescue! Just heat these for 8 minutes on medium high heat and they're ready. Excellent tasting Sausage Link, as are all Johnsonville Sausages. Biscuits and Gravy with Turkey Sausage Links, Dinner is served! Starting to like this Breakfast for Dinner Menu! For dessert later a Jello Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Pudding topped with Cool Whip free.

Panko Crusted Cubed Pork Steak w/ Mashed Potatoes and Boiled Mini Carrots

Dinner Tonight: Panko Crusted Cubed Pork Steak with Peppered White Gravy w/ Mashed Potatoes and Boiled Mini Carrots

Wow, what a beautiful Indian Summer Day out today! Sunny and about 70 degrees. From what they say we'll have 1 more day of warm temps before it gets back to more seasonal weather. By Saturday morning the low could be around 29 degrees and only a high of 41 degrees, big difference! Anyway for dinner tonight I prepared Panko Crusted Cubed Pork Steak with Pioneer Peppered White Gravy w/ Mashed Potatoes and Boiled Mini Carrots.

I bought a couple of packages of Cubed Pork Steak at Kroger the other day, I froze one and having the other one tonight. So I got the big three out to bread it with; Flour, Egg Beater’s, and Panko Bread Crumbs. As you can tell in the picture, the Steak was huge so I cut in half and I’ll have the other half for Breakfast in the morning.

For side dishes I went with Bob Evan’s Mashed Potatoes topped with Pioneer  Peppered White Gravy, my favorite Mashed Potatoes by far. Then I also boiled some Mini Carrots and had a slice of Klosterman Wheat Bread that I buttered with I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter. For dessert later a Healthy Choice Dark Fudge Swirl Frozen Greek Yogurt.

Cubed Steak w/ White Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, and Green Beans

Dinner Tonight: Cubed Steak w/ White Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, and Green Beans

Warming up around here, up to 9 degrees this morning! We have a few inches left on the ground and they say starting tonight into tomorrow night we have another 3 or 4 inches on the way. Got out again running a couple of errands and back home. Dinner tonight; Cubed Steak w/ White Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, and Green Beans.

I normally don't eat Beef but I'm making an exception tonight. While at Meijer came across some beautiful looking Cubed Steak. They looked too nice to pass up so I picked a package. They come 2 to a package, so it was one for dinner and one for the freezer. They were good size patties so I was able to cut them in half and had 1 for dinner and the other half for breakfast. To prepare them I seasoned them with Sea Salt and Ground Black Pepper and I then rolled them in flour that I had mixed with a bit of Hungarian Paprika. Shook off the excess flour and pan fried them in Canola Oil, about 4 minutes per side. They came out delicious! Excellent flavor and very tender, especially for Cubed Steak which sometimes can be somewhat tough and stringy.

For a side dish I heated up some Bob Evan's Mashed Potatoes, just microwave for 6 minutes total. Then I also made some Pioneer Peppered White Gravy, that I used to put on the Mashed Potatoes and Cubed Steak. I also heated up a small can of Del Monte Cut Green Beans and had a slice of Klosterman Wheat Bread. For dessert later a Del Monte No Sugar Added Mango Chunk Cup.

Cube Steak

Cube steak is a cut of beef, usually top round or top sirloin, tenderized by fierce pounding with a meat
tenderizer, or use of an electric tenderizer. The name refers to the shape of the indentations left by that process (called "cubing"). Many professional cooks[who?] insist that regular tenderizing mallets cause too much mashing to produce a proper cube steak, and insist on either using specialized cube steak machines, or manually applying a set of sharp pointed rods to pierce the meat in every direction. This is the most common cut of meat used for chicken fried steak.

In Canada as well as in some parts of the United States, cube steak may be called a minute steak, because it can be cooked quickly.
Others distinguish minute steak as:
* simply referring to the cut, which is not necessarily tenderized;
* thinner than cube steak (hence does not need tenderizing);
* cut from sirloin or round, while cube steak cut is from chuck or round.
The term "minute steak" is also used in the United Kingdom, where the term "cube steak" is little known.
