Some Salad Hints......
* Herbs are a great way to add fresh earthy flavor to salads. Use basil, parsley, and cilantro like you would a green, or scallions for extra bite.
* Add produce that's at its peak, such as asparagus, Spring onion, peas, and radishes for Spring.
* For added crunch, throw in homemade croutons, crumbled tortilla chips, or crispy baked pita bread.
* If you make a salad for work, keep this in mind - Tomato slices or wedges can be a great addition to a salad, but they tend to leak liquid over the course of a day or more in the fridge. Get the same flavor without the potential for sogginess by throwing in a couple of cherry tomatoes instead.
