Bacon and Cheese Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries

Dinner Tonight: Bacon and Cheese Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries

For Breakfast this Monday morning I heated up the leftover Diced Potatoes and Diced Ham from
yesterday's Breakfast. The heavy rain we've had for the past day or so has finally stopped! Not a bad day out there today, sunny and 62 degrees. After I ate I went and picked up Breakfast for Mom from McDonald's. She went on to Church afterward. I headed off to Walmart for a few things. Back home I did a load of laundry and then after Lunch watched NFL Football for the rest of the afternoon. For Dinner tonight its a Bacon and Cheese Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries.

I had the Honeysuckle White Lightly Seasoned Turkey Pattie in the freezer so I grabbed one and let it
thaw overnight in the fridge. They are 1/4 lb. patties (4 to a package) and 170 calories per burger. For the Bacon I’m using the Kroger Simple Truth Turkey Bacon. It fries or bakes up real easy and has excellent taste. I fried the Bacon and set it aside until I needed it.

Then to prepare the Turkey Burger, I’m using a medium size skillet that I sprayed with Pam Non
Stick Cooking Spray and added a tablespoon of Extra Light Olive Oil. Heated the skillet on medium. When the skillet was ready I added the Turkey Burger. I fried it about 6 minutes per side. After flipping the Burger I topped it with a slice of Kraft Deluxe Sharp Cheddar with about 1 minute of cooking time left. I served the Burger on a Healthy Life Whole Grain Hamburger Bun. Topped the Turkey Burger with some Heinz 57 Sauce and the Turkey Bacon. The Burger fried up great and the toppings all worked well together.

For a side I baked some Alexia Organic Yukon Select Fries. Seasoned them with McCormick Grinder
Sea Salt and Black Peppercorn Medley. Baked them at 425 degrees for 16 minutes. They bake up beautifully and seasoned just right, excellent Shoestring Fry! Plus they are only 120 calories and 15 net carbs. For dessert later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn with a Coke Zero to drink.

Baked Turkey Meatballs and Rotini Pasta w/ Baked Multi Grain Bread

Dinner Tonight: Baked Turkey Meatballs and Rotini Pasta w/ Baked Multi Grain Bread

For Breakfast this morning I'm having another of the Buffalo Fillet Mignon. I love these SayersBrook
4 oz. Bison Fillet Mignon! To prepare it I just seasoned it with some McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Peppercorn Medley. I then grabbed a small skillet, sprayed it with Pam Non Stick Cooking Spray, and added a 1/2 tablespoon of Extra Light Olive Oil. Heated it on medium heat. Fried the first side 3 minutes and flipped it over and cooked it another 2 minutes. It came out a perfect medium rare! It was so tender and juicy. Then I also fried up a Sunny Side Egg and toasted a couple of slices of Healthy Life Whole Grain Bread. Sure tough to beat a Steak and Egg Breakfast! Also as usual, had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea.

Rain, Thunderstorms, and a high of 56 degrees for a high. We have a lot of flooding across the area.So its a another indoor day. Did some cleaning; Turned the oven on and let clean, straightened up the freezer, and straightened up the pantry. After that just kicked back and watched some College Basketball. For Dinner tonight its Baked Turkey Meatballs and Rotini Pasta w/ Baked Multi Grain Bread.

You can make any Meal healthier by using healthier ingredients. That includes Meatballs and Pasta! I'll be using Honeysuckle White Turkey Meatballs Kroger finally started having these back in stock!
The Honeysuckle White Turkey Meatballs are some of the best I’ve found, fantastic taste and they’re 190 calories and 6 carbs for 3 large Meatballs. For the Sauce I'm using LaRosa’s Original Pasta Sauce. Then for the Rotini Pasta I'll be using Ronzoni Healthy Harvest Whole Grain Rotini. For the added Cheese topping I'm using Sargento Off the Block Mozzarella Cheese and Kraft Reduced Fat Grated Parmesan Cheese. The Bread is River Road Bakehouse Multi Grain Bread. I’ve been buying this from Meijer the last few months and it’s our favorite Baked Bread.

As I said, for the Meatballs I’m using my favorite, Honeysuckle White Turkey Meatballs. Kroger
finally started having these back in stock! The Honeysuckle White Turkey Meatballs are some of the best I’ve found, fantastic taste and they’re 190 calories and 6 carbs for 3 large Meatballs.

I’ll be cooking them in LaRosa’s Original Pasta Sauce, one of my favorites! The Sauce goes great on
Pasta, Pizza, or as a Dipping sauce. I grabbed a Sauce Pan, sprayed it Pam Cooking Spray, added the Sauce to it, and heated on medium low heat. As the Sauce started to heat up I added the Turkey Meatballs, stirred until covered with the Sauce. Cooked them for about 7 minutes and then reduced the heat to low until I was ready to use them.

For the Rotini Pasta I’m using my favorite, Ronzoni Healthy Harvest Whole Grain Rotini. Easy to prepare; I used a large sauce pan and added 1 1/2 quarts of water and Salt and brought it to a rapid boil. Added the Pasta and brought it back to a boil. Cooked uncovered for 10 minutes, stirring often. Drained the Pasta and put it into the Baking Dish. Then Seasoned the Rotini with 2 teaspoons of Extra Light Olive Oil, some McCormick Grinder Italian Seasoning, and Kraft Grated Reduced Fat Parmesan Cheese.

Next I topped the Rotini with the LaRosa’s Sauce and Turkey Meatballs. Sprinkled more of the Grated Parm Cheese followed by a layer of Sargento Mozzarella Cheese. The oven was preheated at 400 degrees so it was ready to bake. As the Past Dish was baking I also baked a loaf of RiverRoad Bake House Multi Grain Oval Loaf Bread.

The Meatballs and Rotini came out incredible! The Turkey Meatballs, Rotini Pasta, Cheese, and
Sauce combined to make one delicious Dish! Plus Mom and Dad both enjoyed it. Neither is big on Pasta but had 2 servings of it!. For Dessert later a Jello Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Pudding topped with Cool Whip Free.

Bacon and Cheese Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries

Dinner Tonight: Bacon and Cheese Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries

For Breakfast this Monday morning I prepared a Potato and Ham Skillet. I prepared a bag of the
Simply Potatoes Steakhouse Seasoned Diced Potatoes. Midway through the cooking time I added a 1/2 bag of Kroger Brand Diced Ham. Also had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. It started out another morning of below zero at minus 4 degrees. We had high of 25 degrees and cloudy all day. I took advantage of this heat wave and I took Mom up to Kroger so she could get what she needed and then afterward I went to Meijer for a few things. Felt good to get out, I think I had a touch of Cabin Fever! Not much else going on today. For Dinner tonight its a Bacon and Cheese Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries.

I had the Honeysuckle White Lightly Seasoned Turkey Pattie in the freezer so I grabbed one and let it thaw overnight in the fridge. Bacon and Cheese Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries

Dinner Tonight: Bacon and Cheese Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries

For Breakfast this morning it was a toasted Healthy Life Whole Grain English Muffin that I topped with Smucker's Sugarless Blackberry Jam. Along with my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea.
Another gorgeous pre Fall day out there, sunny and a high of 75 degrees! Went to Kroger for Mom for a few things she needed. After Lunch went over to see Dad. I'll be glad when he gets home. I have to lift a wheelchair in and out of my car trunk and it's taking a toll on my back and leg. Sure wish I could do more but sometimes I'm limited having just the one leg. Anyway back home for Dinner tonight its a Bacon and Cheese Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries.

Bacon and Cheese Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries

Dinner Tonight: Bacon and Cheese Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries

For Breakfast this morning it was Eggs and Bacon with Toast. I fried up one Egg Sunnyside Up, fried up some SayersBrook Wil Boar Uncured Bacon, toasted 2 slices of Aunt Millie's Light Whole Grain Bread (lightly buttered), and made a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. I thought I was out of the Wild Boar Bacon but I found a package in the freezer so I let it thaw overnight in the fridge. I love the Wild Boar Bacon, if you never tried it you should!

Outside today it's 88 degrees and humid. Got the cart out after Breakfast and got some yard work

done before it got too hot out. After Lunch went to Meijer to see if the Garden Center had any of the Fall Mum plants in yet. Which they didn't, it's still a bit early to have any in. Did a few things around the house and then kicked back for a couple of hours and got caught up on some shows I recorded. For my Dinner tonight its a Bacon and Cheese Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries.

Bacon and Cheese Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries

Dinner Tonight: Bacon and Cheese Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries

To start my day off I made a packet of Pioneer Peppered White Gravy and baked some Pillsbury Hungry Jack Biscuits. The Biscuits were for Mom, I toasted myself 2 slices of Healthy Life Whole Grain Bread. I also heated up some Jimmy Dean Turkey Breakfast sausage Links. Topped it off with morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Outside it was mostly cloudy and a high of 60 degrees, rain later in the day. I bought Mom some new Gnome Statues for her flower beds yesterday from Walmart. I got the 4 wheel cart out and cleaned up the flower beds and also threw down some weed killer around the bed. Later my neighbor came over and restained our wooden ramp for me and finished up around the yard for me. We are real luck, we have great neighbors all around us! After the yard work I headed up to the hospital to see Dad. He's doing okay but he's talking a bit out of his head at times. It's due to some new medication that they have him on for his heart. We are really worried about him, just praying for the best. So for Dinner tonight a new Type of Turkey Burger, Honeysuckle White Lightly Seasoned Ground Turkey Patties. I prepared a Bacon and Cheese Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries.

Many years ago when I started using Turkey as part of my diet I used Honeysuckle White Turkey Products. But as time went on I started using Jennie - O Turkey Products, better variety and less calories. I went to Walmart to pick up some lawn and garden products I also cruised through the grocery department and came across a package of  Honeysuckle White Lightly Seasoned Ground Turkey Patties. They are 1/4 lb. patties (4 to a package) and 170 calories per burger.

To prepare it I first fried up the Turkey Bacon. I was out of the Jennie - O Turkey Bacon so I'm trying the Kroger Simple Truth Turkey Bacon. First time I tried it and it turned out real good. Fried up great and excellent flavor.

To prepare the Turkey Burger, I'm using a large skillet that I sprayed with Pam Cooking Spray and
added a tablespoon of Bertolli Extra Light Olive Oil. Heated the skillet on medium. When the skillet was ready I added the Turkey Burgers. I fried them about 5 minutes per side. After flipping the Burgers I topped them with a slice of Kraft Deluxe Sharp Cheddar with a bout 1 minute of cooking time left. I served the Burgers on a Healthy Life Whole Grain Hamburger Bun. Topped the Turkey Burger with some Heinz 57 Sauce and the Turkey Bacon. The Burgers fried up great and the toppings all worked well together. I'll be buying the Honeysuckle White Turkey Burgers again, good Turkey Patties.

For a side, as usual when having a Burger, I baked some Alexia Organic Yukon Select Fries.
Seasoned them with McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Black Peppercorn Medley. Baked them at 425 degrees for 16 minutes. They bake up beautifully and seasoned just right, excellent Shoestring Fry! Plus they are only 120 calories and 15 net carbs. For dessert later a bowl of Del Monte No Sugar Added Diced Mangos.
